Please welcome Dalia Doman, who has joined the Civil Society Forum as our new intern! Originally from Tallinn, she now splits her time between Tartu, Tallinn and Berlin while completing her Master’s in European Studies at the University of Tartu.

Her main interests are minority rights and inclusion, with a particular focus on women’s and children’s rights. Her Master’s thesis looks at violence against women in the EU and explores the factors that shape national willingness to accept or resist European gender-based norms.

More recently, she has also become increasingly interested in Eastern Europe — one of the reasons CSF felt like a natural fit.

Outside work and university, Dalia has been dancing for almost 20 years, from ballroom and swing to Estonian folk dance, and she is also a keen crafter.

As she puts it: “My close friends and family have to bear the burden and accept all the scarves, socks and hats I am always making.”

We’re glad to have you with us, Dalia — and happy to bear the burden if any knitwear comes our way.
