COMPETITION 1 SEASON 9 πŸ₯³πŸ”₯πŸ’…πŸ½βœˆοΈπŸ† After a 8 Month Competition Hiatus We Pulled up and popped off at @prestigious.pearls March Madness Dance Competition in ATL. Our Season started August 7th! By August 15th my grandma was placed on end of life hospice care and I’ll never apologize for putting my family first during this difficult time. Add to that This season over half of the kids on our competition squad ARE BRAND NEW to the program and or competition team. Definitely a recipe for disaster right?! From the very beginning of the season it’s felt like every odd was against us and getting to Atlanta was no different. One week after the competition we hosted in Vegas, One week before our annual showcase & just 4 weeks before our first out of state competition of the season God called my grandma home. πŸ’” We were literally 2 weeks away from our first competition when we laid her to rest and for the first time ever pushing through my pain seemed unbearable. Simple daily task like getting out the bed to start my day felt impossible. So I called @damiengrote to come tighten up the loose ends for me; and him and @jaz.josephine did just that with out hesitation! We love him for life for that🫢🏽 I also wanna thank my tribe for standing 10 toes down even when I couldn’t stand on business! That’s my coaches, my parents, my dancers, and my captains! In spite of it all the first competition of the season we still came out the gates swinging and that’s because of the patience, the prayer, the practice, and the perseverance of the ENTIRE TRIBE!!!!!! 1st Place Creative πŸ₯‡πŸ”₯πŸ’…πŸ½ 1st Place Walk Thru πŸ₯‡πŸ”₯πŸ’…πŸ½ 1st Place Stand Battle πŸ₯‡πŸ”₯πŸ’…πŸ½ Best Dressed Award πŸ₯‡πŸ”₯πŸ’…πŸ½ Fan Favorite Award πŸ₯‡πŸ”₯πŸ’…πŸ½ Didn’t agree with us not placing in duet but even with that we still only lost grand champion by 1 point so proud is an understatement!!! Shout out to the other 6 amazing that hit the floor as well we knew there was smoke in the south and those teams definitely gave a phenomenal show!!!! Shoutout to @prestigious.pearls for hosting a great competition having top tier trophies and for all of the southern hospitality! We most definitely will be back!!!!
