My friend @daloartdesign does this thing called Symbiotic Saturdays 💞 it’s about art, loving art, supporting artists… because when one artists wins, we all win. So today I’d like to take a moment to share these recent paintings he made of Lucky and Kramer, the two dogs we’ve adopted since moving to Colorado.

All of our dogs, current and past, have portraits in our living room, so it was past time that these guys were added to the collection. And what an amazing job @daloartdesign did putting them on canvas! 🩵🩵

Kramer and Lucky are both senior rescues from @hobocareboxerrescue 💜 and I can’t recommend adopting an older dog enough. They’re truly the sweetest, happiest goofballs.

So go forth, share art, rescue a dog and give @daloartdesign a follow.

How fun, how beautiful was Friday night? Thank you to ALL who helped us celebrate the opening of Jacqueline Viola Moulton’s MARGINS OF MERCY and Daniel Logan’s REWILDING solo exhibitions! Who needs fireworks with such vibrant art and company? Executive Director and New Yorker, Jon Khoury was overheard saying @upstatepizzeria is what pizza should taste like, (and he’s right.) Congratulations to those of you who woke up owners of new art. There’s no better feeling!
Not to worry if you couldn’t make it. All are most welcome to experience these truly fantastic shows anytime during business hours. We can’t wait to see you at Cottonwood!

IIIIIIIIT’S FIRST FRIDAY! Beat the heat...and smoke...and general malaise with Cottonwood this evening and celebrate the opening of two solo exhibitions for the month of July!
Fireworks are cancelled but feast your eyes, (and heart) on the magic of MARGINS OF MERCY by Jacqueline Viola Moulton and REWILDING by Daniel Logan.
Come hungry! We are thrilled to have @upstatepizzeria out front!
Cool off with a wine or beer from the gallery bar or ride the elevator to grab our mocktail of the month on the second floor. Happy holiday everyone. We can’t wait to see you here!

MARGINS OF MERCY | JACQUELINE VIOLA MOULTON | MAIN GALLERIES
—bestiaries, petrified blessings, abandoned archives,
mourning feasts, and ordinary alters
I’ve come from the mountaintop, wounded, to tell the truth
From the Artist:
Margins of Mercy is the poets attempt to speak all the truths that resist words. This solo exhibition is a tribute to the ways in which the holy allows itself to be accessed through the mundane, the profane, and the elegantly ordinary. Utilizing poetry, installation, and multidisciplinary works this exhibition is a love letter to all the truths we struggle to carry, it is—in performance and participation—a confession both within the heart of the animal. Step in. Step in. Blessings reign abundant, we just have to beg.
Here, a soft place of dirt to bend a knee. All enlightenment and levity and ascension begins with a wound and the willingness to be renamed—and in this series, we do this work together, as animals, as tarnished saints, as the wounded becoming healers.

REWILDING | DANIEL LOGAN | MAIN GALLERIES
From the Artist:
This exhibition represents nature taking back its rightful place. By doing so we all coex-
ist in a world where you don’t have to prove your value. Instead you’re born with it. If your life feels like it’s entailed with toxic air then let your surroundings clean your pallet with deep breaths of positivity and hope for the future. Rewilding lets nature take over and sets love as a standard for just being you. Just the way nature intended it.

One of the coolest parts of my job is getting to watch families level up in real time. Bigger dreams, more space, new chapters… And a front row seat to it all.

What they thought was an impossible goal became a reality.
