Last week, we kicked off our Agentic AI workshop series with a hands-on session on designing AI agents as state machines. Thank you to everyone who came out and built their own AI agent with us! Throughout the session, attendees: - Learned how AI agents are structured with state graphs and conditional routing - Got hands-on with industry tools like LangGraph and Pydantic - Built a working AI agent by the end of the night A huge thank you to our presenters, Akash and Akshit, for leading the session, and to our execs for helping everyone along the way. Stay tuned for the next workshop in the series! #DalMLS #AgenticAI

Getting into research as an undergrad can feel confusing when you don’t know where to start. That’s exactly what we talked about at Getting into ML Research as an Undergrad last week, hosted in collaboration with the Dalhousie Women in Technology Society (WiTS). Our panelists shared how they got their start in research, from reaching out to professors and applying for USRAs to doing Honours and leading student research projects. They were honest about what worked, what they’d do differently, and what they wish they’d known earlier. Every one of them took a different path, which was a good reminder that there’s no single right way in. A huge thank you to our panelists, Anand Lo, Zawad Atif, Rafat Hossain, and Riley Johnstone, for taking the time to join us and be so open about your experiences. Thank you as well to Nafisah Nubah for hosting and moderating the panel and keeping the conversation flowing. We also want to thank WiTS for helping bring this event to life, and everyone who came out and asked such great questions. We hope everyone left with a clearer idea of where to start, and we can’t wait to see you at our next event. Join the Dalhousie Machine Learning Society (DMLS) as a general member and stay connected with us through the link in our bio. #DMLS #MachineLearning #WiTS #Dalhousie #UndergradResearch
