TODAY IS KATIE’S BIRTHDAY!🎁. This beautiful, talented, kind, brilliant, creative woman made me a mom 30 years ago today. How is that even possible!!??

Katie was born on a warm Fall day in Tucson, AZ. She spent her early childhood in Boston, MA, and then Gilbert, Arizona.

Growing up Katie loved to write and was a gifted artist. She was in gymnastics and cheerleading. She could (and can) sing like an Angel.

Katie graduated from Highland High School in 2015. She then attended BYU Hawaii for a year before serving a mission in the Alpine German Speaking Mission. After her mission she transferred to BYU in Provo where she majored in language disorders.

She married her high school sweetheart and love of her life Dallin Urness in 2019. A few years later she graduated from U of U with her Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology. They eventually settled in Lehi, UT.

Katie became a mom herself in August of 2023…. To a bright blue eyed little boy named Beckham. In January they added another handsome boy… Walker.

$The time has come. We’ve had lots of group hugs and tearful goodbyes. He’s ready. I’m not. My little buddy is in the MTC and off to serve as a missionary in Armenia for the next 2 years. Elder Lundgreen will be GREAT. He loves the gospel and he is excited to teach and share his beliefs and joy with others. What a rollercoaster of emotions this week has been. I know…All good things. But saying goodbye is hard even when it’s for all the right reasons. I’m proud of him. I love him SO MUCh. But my heart feels fractured. I just need a few days and it will be ok.
