GAME THREE: THE CHAMPIONSHIP‼️

1 BRAVO vs. 2 GOLF — NUMBER ONE VERSUS NUMBER TWO! 🏆

Golf stepped on the gas and NEVER let up! Aaron Stewart and @uglyjesus.j delivered 15 points apiece, @jroundtreee added 11, and Golf defeated Bravo, 47–34. @_zay2fr battled for Bravo with 11 points, five rebounds and three steals.

Golf identified the mismatches, attacked early and often, and took the crown!

Now, let’s be clear: Bravo finished an incredible 9–1—but Golf finished 8–2 with the CHAMPIONSHIP TROPHY! Regular-season records don’t win championships. Big-time players making big-time plays when everything is on the line—that’s what wins championships!

Congratulations to captains @aaronbutt1 now a FOUR-TIME CHAMPION, @mrr.stewart 2X Champion, @dj_gq22 now a TWO-TIME CHAMPION! 🏁🏁🏁

Ladies and gentlemen, your 2026 AVERAGE JOES CHAMPIONS: TEAM GOLF! 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆

And I don’t want to hear another word about who had the better regular season! When the lights were brightest and the pressure was highest, GOLF answered the call. They walked into Championship Sunday as the No. 2 seed—and walked out as the undisputed champions!

Carry the hell on! Somebody warn the Winter Gauntlet: GOLF is coming! ‼️🏁‼️

🔥🚨 TEAM BRAVO IS NOT PLAYING AROUND. 🚨🔥

TheRealDru caught up with @nitaikenner & @_zay2fr of Team Bravo after their ABSOLUTE SLAUGHTERING of Team Alpha—and trust me, they were feeling GOOD! 😤💪🏾

But the job isn’t finished. They’re already sending a warning to whoever stands next: “If you’re in my way, GET OUT… or be prepared to get RAN OVER!” 🏀💥

I also chopped it up with the smooth bucket-getter @dameshepp of Team Bravo, who broke down exactly what it takes to advance. From their aggressive, suffocating defense to their relentless ability to shut teams down, Dame explained how those stops turn into offense, momentum, and WINS. 🧱🔥

Bravo has made their statement. Now who’s ready to answer? 👀

Nearly four years ago, our Average Joes basketball runs became something greater—a men’s basketball league built on fellowship, brotherhood, and community through a game I’ve loved my entire life. 🏀🏀🏀

I created this league during a season when I desperately needed a sanctuary. After my son Jordan ascended to Heaven at just seven years old, basketball became part of my therapy pack—a place to fight through the grief, pain, confusion, and displacement while still leading from the front of trying to heal. This road has not been easy, but being around these competitive spirits make it doable.

This Sunday, we have a couple semifinals games and than the championship game—not just competing for a trophy, but honoring our community. I’m proud of this fiercely competitive brotherhood and delusional enough to believe we’re building something that will live far beyond the game. I played to honor my son Jordy, and help my other son @zyonmj_ continue to build his love for the game again, while keeping Maximus around a great group of Men.

🎙️ FIRST TAKE — REVENGE WEEK FINALE 🏁🚀🏁

STEPHEN A.: “BRAVO DID IT‼️‼️‼️ 35-30 over Foxtrot to complete a PERFECT 8-0 UNDEFEATED SEASON! 🏁🏁🏁 Dame #77 delivered when it mattered — 12 points, 3 rebounds, clutch free throws, and back-to-back midrange buckets to protect perfection! And don’t forget @zyonmj_ — pressure defense and BIG buckets down the stretch.

BRAVO doesn’t even know what losing feels like this season. Now they’ve earned the bye and a spot on Championship Weekend.

It’s up to them to prove they are championship worthy 🫡🏆🏁” #faithfamilyfitnessfreedom #brotherhood biggerthanbasketball #averagejoes

🎙️ BIG PERK’S FIRST TAKE — WEEK 7 RECAP 🎙️

“Carry the hell on…”

Ladies and gentlemen… Week 7 just changed the entire playoff picture.

🏀 Bravo 37, Alpha 29

Still undefeated. Still 7-0. And here’s what I love—championship teams don’t have to score 80 points. They defend. They execute. They win ugly. That’s what Bravo did. They’re not chasing perfection anymore… they’re chasing a championship. 3 Isaiah Napper score 13-5-4 to keep Bravo on point. #averagejoesmensbasketball #brotherhood #biggerthanbasketball

🎙️ THE GAME OF THE DAY.

Bravo 50. Golf 46.

OHHHH, NOW WE’RE TALKING!

This wasn’t just two good teams.

This was two championship-caliber teams throwing haymakers for 32 straight minutes. Nobody blinked. Nobody backed down. Every possession felt like a playoff possession.

And when the lights got the brightest…

Bravo looked like champions.

Let’s start with @nitaikenner .

The Player of the Game filled up the stat sheet with 16 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists. He didn’t force the action—he controlled it. Every time Golf made a push, Nitai answered with a bucket, a rebound, or the right pass. That’s winning basketball.

But here’s what separates Bravo from everybody else…

It isn’t just one guy.

@_zay2fr came off the ropes with 12 points, bullying defenders to the rim all afternoon. It wasn’t pretty—it was grown-man basketball. Straight bully-ball layups, attacking the paint, embracing contact, and setting the tone physically.

And that’s why Bravo is sitting at 6-0.

Everybody contributes.

One night it’s Nitai.

The next it’s Zay.

The next it’s somebody else.

There are no passengers on this roster. They defend, they rebound, they trust one another, and when the game gets tight, somebody different is ready to answer the bell.

Golf proved they’re one of the league’s elite teams. Losing by four to an undefeated squad doesn’t change that.

But until somebody walks into the gym and hands Bravo their first loss…

The road to the championship still runs through Bravo. #averagejoesbasketball #biggerthanbasketball #faithfamilyfitnessfreedom

👑 Bravo Keeps Rolling

Once again, Bravo found a way.

3 @_zay2fr stuffed the stat sheet with 11 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists, while making his biggest impact on the defensive end. His energy was everywhere, helping Bravo remain the league’s only undefeated team heading into Week 6. #faithfamilyfitnessfreedom #biggerthanbasketball #brotherhood Maximus Prime on 🎥

🅱️ TEAM BRAVO

🏆 @dameshepp & @nitaikenner

This wasn’t about one superstar.

This was about brotherhood.

Dame 8 points. 4 rebounds. Physical. Tough.

Winning basketball.

Nitai 8 rebounds. 4 assists.

The stat sheet won’t always tell you everything…

But those numbers scream one thing:

They did whatever their team needed to stay undefeated.

That’s championship basketball. #brotherhood #averagejoes #biggerthanbasketball #faithfamilyfitnessfreedom #summerleague
