POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Here’s a look back at the moments that made the 2026 National Head Girl Conference one to remember.

Held in celebration of the International Day of the Girl Child, the conference brought together young leaders, educators, speakers and partners for a day of conversations, practical learning and fresh ideas around the theme Girls That Shape Systems

From keynote conversations and leadership sessions to teacher training, and the National Head Girl Competition finale, the day created space for young people to question, connect and think more intentionally about the systems they have the power to influence.

One message came through clearly: young people are not waiting for the future to lead. They are already shaping it.

Today, the narrative around African creativity is shifting to center squarely on numbers, infrastructure, and global economic potential.

A recent conversation with David Pilling brought together our co-founders Deola and Darey Art Alade, filmmaker Kayode Kasum, and screenwriter Dami Elebe. This exchange offered a direct look into the conversations and connections that drive Africa’s creative economy and how we continue to close the gap.

The future is business-led, sustainable, and undeniably global.

“A good conversation can open up an entirely different view of an industry.”

We recently gathered a powerhouse room to map out the future of Africa’s creative sector.
We sat down with David Pilling, Africa Editor at the Financial Times, alongside trailblazing Nigerian creatives Dami Elebe and Kayode Kasum, and members of the Livespot executive team.

Our focus? Looking strictly at the massive economic engine that is the African creative industry particularly right here in Nigeria.
We shared critical perspectives on what it takes to build sustainable infrastructure, monetize intellectual property globally, and keep pushing our culture forward.

These are the conversations we value at Livespot.
This is how we push boundaries.

🎭SO WHAT? — A Monologue

“I killed him.”

A confession from a daughter who was pushed beyond the limits of what a human being should have to endure.

Behind every scar is a story.
Behind every silence is a scream.
And sometimes, the person everyone calls a monster… is someone who was once a victim.

But what happens when the victim finally fights back?
