NACURH Recap! We had so much fun representing FSU at this conference! ❤️

We wanted to highlight a few achievements from this weekend:

❤️ Matthew Parkis (Wildwood RA and SAACURH Coordinating Officer for Leadership & Advocacy), Tanushree Dhage (NRHH VP of Service & Leadership), and Hope Banks (IRHC Director) all had top 10 educational sessions!

💛 All 3 of them and Damien King (NRHH President) also participated in the NRHH Case Study competition and won 1st place!!! This is FSU’s second year in a row winning the Case Study competition!

💎 But wait there’s more! All 4 of them + Lillie Gilfry (IRHC National Communications Coordinator) were also first in Spirit points!!!

Thank you to Illinois State University for an unforgettable weekend!

P.S. Stay tuned for an exciting IRHC announcement tomorrow...get excited!! 🫣

NACURH 2025 was quite the experience! Was the best NACURH yet of my 3 I've now been to. It was a full circle experience returning to a school i visited 4 years ago and thinking of where I am now is surreal. My senior year kicking off with my 6th conference I've attended and getting sworn in to the GLACURH RBD. When I attended nacurh in 2023 as a CC it seemed so daunting and here I am 2 years later.

The best part was everything I learned on leadership and all my friends I made this weekend. I got to make friends from all over the country from Illinois to South Carolina to Florida State and Texas. Even made friends out of the country from British Columbia. Getting to spend time with everyone was amazing and im grateful for. Thanks to my South Carolina friends for inviting me to bowling and playing pictionary at 2 AM. To my Florida state friends thanks for having me around it was great meeting all of you and hanging out and congrats on all the awards you all recived this weekend. I was able to dance which is fun as always and got to demonstrate some line dances which is always fun.

EIU had a great conference with going all out for spirit again. Our president and NCC got a top 10 ed session and our amazing advisors got special recognition. Contrary to the paddle I received i was sometimes with my delegation 😂

I got to present my goal setting presentation again and was told how I inspired people which meant the world. Through it all the experience made me so excited for my new role this year as GLACURH Coordinating officer for Bidding and Development. I know it's the right role for me and I'm so excited for this coming year! Thanks for one of the best birthday weekend's!
