Once the stables of a hotel particulier in the 16th arrondissement, this 250-square-metre pavilion has been reborn as a light-filled sanctuary set into its own garden, with volumes of a generosity rarely found in Paris. Heritage and modernity are held in balance rather than played against each other. A handcrafted staircase rises through four levels as the architectural centrepiece, channelling daylight in a movement that feels almost choreographed, while rectangular stone arches punctuate the perspective and frame one room from the next. In the kitchen, a Raku backsplash reads like piano keys animated across a palette of irregular whites. Jean Touret chairs gather around a custom table with carved, rounded edges, and in the living room the mood turns Japanese: low elongated furniture, a substantial oak shelving unit by Cédric Breisacher, two Nativ sofas flanking a sculptural table by Dan Pollock, and three large openings that dissolve the line between inside and garden. Downstairs, a cinema lounge of rounded lines is draped in theatrical curtains around a Roger Capron ceramic table. Above it all, the master bedroom sits like a suspended nest under double-height ceilings, where a monumental glass arch opens onto a planted terrace, and the bathroom basin is carved from a single block of Burgundy stone. — Architecture and interior design: @emmanuelle_simon Photography: @damiendemedeiros

A quiet moment in the bathroom of MOZART, where architecture and material come together in a calm, sculptural composition. At the heart of the space, a monolithic Burgundy limestone basin asserts the mineral force of the project, its solid presence echoing the raw, natural materials found throughout the home. Designed by Emmanuelle Simon as part of this light-filled Parisian sanctuary, the bathroom continues the dialogue between refined lines, organic forms and the nature beyond. MOZART, Paris 16e. A 250 sqm private residence nestled within a hôtel particulier in the heart of Paris, MOZART unfolds as a light-filled sanctuary immersed in nature. Designed by Emmanuelle Simon, the project creates a dialogue between heritage and modernity, architecture and nature. Across four levels, a monumental handcrafted staircase rises through the home like a white ribbon, while a succession of stone arches frames the perspectives and draws natural light deep into the interiors. Raw and refined materials meet throughout the residence: Raku ceramic in the kitchen, gouged wood, Burgundy limestone and oak, alongside bespoke furniture and lighting designed by Emmanuelle Simon. Sculptures, artworks and vintage pieces complete the composition, giving the home the spirit of a collector’s house. In the living spaces, expansive openings dissolve the boundary between interior and garden, while the primary suite opens onto a planted terrace beneath the canopy. A project conceived as a singular setting, where volumes, materials, light and objects come together to create a deeply immersive interior architecture. 📸 @damiendemedeiros Interior design + bespoke design @emmanuelle_simon Styling @aurorelameyre Flower arrangement @sashadeboheme Galleries @desprez_breheret_gallery @lalune.galerie @aurelien_gendras @amelieduchalard @oeildeko

#CosmosMelancolia #CourtMétrage #megafeux #Fontainebleau #FeuxDeForêt #Forêt #Biodiversité #Vivant #Nature #Écologie A few years ago, we shot Cosmos Melancolia in the Fontainebleau Forest. In one scene, children make animal masks and wander through the forest. With a kind of ease that seems unique to childhood, they rediscover a connection to the living world that many of us may have lost. Today, after the wildfires, these images resonate differently. They remind us how fragile the living world is, and how fragile our connection to it can be. We imagined a fable. Reality now seems to be catching up with it. The loss of biodiversity deeply affects us. More than ever, we need stories that help us reimagine our relationship with the living world. Perhaps imagination is the last refuge of the living world. MOZART - Interior architecture project by Emmanuelle Simon Entirely handcrafted, a monumental staircase rises across the four levels of this 19th-century Paris pavilion. This white rubbon channels light in a movement that feels almost choreographed. "It's the protagonist piece, the hardest to install, and my favorite in the entire project. Conceived as a spiral ribbon that unfurls gently from top to bottom: it connects, orders, and brings movement to every level." — Emmanuelle Simon for @maneramagazine "The home's connective tissue, defining and articulating each floor." — Gay Gassmann @elledecor 📷 @damiendemedeiros

La forêt de Fontainebleau brûle aujourd'hui. Nous y avons tourné plusieurs scènes de Cosmos Melancolia. Nous sommes profondément attristés de voir cette forêt meurtrie ainsi que toute la vie qu'elle abrite. Extrait de notre court métrage Cosmos Melancolia by Alexandra Leroux et Damien de Medeiros The Fontainebleau Forest is burning... We filmed several scenes of Cosmos Melancolia there.
