In English, we say:
“Happy Birthday to our Leader and our Father.”

In Mathematics, we say:
“Happy Birthday to the variable that finally stopped our search for X!”

In Biology, we say:
“You are our keystone species, and the hormone that keeps this DNA called Freedom functioning and growing.”

In Physics, we say:
“Thank you for being the vector that gives us direction and the photon that brings light to our journey.”

In Engineering, we say:
“Thank you for being our gyroscope, keeping us steady, and our column, giving strength and structure to our Christian faith.”

In Accounting, we say:
“You have been an invaluable asset, and the capital that has empowered our growth.”

In Law, we say:
“Thank you for being our fiduciary and guardian, entrusted with protecting and guiding what matters.”

In Architecture, we say:
“Thank you for being the grid, datum, and truss that gives structure, alignment, and strength to our Christian faith.”

But as a family, we don’t need all the big words.

We simply say:

Thank you for being the Dad that you are, and for building a home where we can grow, belong, and become.

And as your brothers and sisters from every corner of the world, we have only one thing left to say…

HAPPY BIRTHDAYYYYY! 🥳🎉

With Pastor @ibkfaleye, we looked at ‘commitment in your local church and how it affects your spiritual growth.’ Understanding that commitment is a deliberate decision to remain devoted to something consistently, despite inconvenience or changing feelings is the foundation for embracing the growth tools in our local assemblies.

Pastor @damifaleye came for us with ‘The Balance of Excellence and Holiness.’ Both are key principles for us as believers, and both are crucial to get to the peak God has called us.

We are holy, and we are excellent!

I was in church yesterday while it was raining. Not long after it stopped, I saw a rainbow.

I screamed and kept saying, “Oh my God.” 🥺🤭 It was just too cute, especially because I hadn't seen a rainbow in a long time.

And then I don't even know how my mind got here, but I started thinking about rain.

About how strange it is that we can be so uncomfortable while it's raining, and then get so excited when we see what comes after it.

Same sky. Different moment.

Maybe that's part of the beauty of it.

You don't always know what the rain is doing while you're in it.

Sometimes all you can see is grey, wet clothes, and “God, please, can this rain just stop?” 😭

And then suddenly, colour. A rainbow.

Something that makes you stop and look up.

I don't know. I just think that's beautiful.

And now that I'm thinking about it, I'm also just really grateful.

For this house. For the covering over us. For the people God has placed over us and the way He has used them to care for us. @clc_ilorin

Forever grateful for all of it. 🤍 @ibkfaleye @damifaleye

Remember, the rain is not the whole story!

Tiredness is not a sin. It is a call 🔥

In the first service, as we continued the series, Strengthened: Overcoming Spiritual Fatigue, we were reminded that fatigue can be a call to pay attention to, renew and strengthen our spirits.
Just as the body needs nourishment, our spirits must be continually fed.

Fasten your seatbelts, it’s time to fly to MORE!

Over the past few weeks at Citizens of Light Church, IF GOD WANTED US TO FLY has challenged the way we see divine possibilities and our responsibility to give expression to them.

The series is not yet over, but there are already heights to attain.
Download, revisit and share with someone who needs the reminder that they are called for MORE!

Another layer of YES LORD unlocked tonight. 🔥

As Pastor @damifaleye taught on Timeliness and Promptness in Surrender, we were reminded that our response to God cannot always wait until it feels convenient, comfortable or completely logical.

We left with a renewed desire to build a life that doesn’t just say “Yes, Lord” but Yes Lord, NOW.

From learning new skills to demonstrating understanding, our little stewards were celebrated for their efforts and achievements.
We are so proud of how far they've come!

The week may be over, but the lessons, skills, memories, and seeds planted will continue to grow.

What a beautiful way to end VBS!

Fine dining, but make it Atrium!

Our little stewards got a taste of the finer things as they learnt the art of fine dining, from table manners and proper dining etiquette to enjoying a beautiful meal together.
