🎓🏀 Today we celebrate an incredible journey as our Union Mine High School Men’s Basketball seniors step up to the graduation stage! Each game, each practice, each moment spent together built more than a team; it built a family. As you graduate today, you leave behind a legacy of dedication, teamwork, and indomitable spirit.

“Success is not an accident, success is actually a choice.” - Stephen Curry. You chose every day to strive for excellence, and it shows. 🏀

Though we’ll miss your presence on the court and on campus, we are thrilled to see what the future holds for each of you. We are immensely proud of your achievements and the men you’ve become. Go make your mark, Diamondbacks! 🌍💫

Congratulations to the senior athletes representing their schools at the 2024 Optimist High School All-Star Games in Sacramento today!

Small School North, led by UMHS head coach Ryan Williams and assistant coaches Rosen, Deville, and Keltner, showcased talent and teamwork. Union Mine’s finest, Nate Sweet, Ethan Gines, Damion Schade, and Hayden Otter, formed a formidable team alongside other selected athletes from our league. Together, they displayed remarkable teamwork and resilience on the court. Win or lose, their commitment to excellence and community shines bright! Here’s to a memorable experience and the bright futures ahead! #OptimistAllStars #SeniorAthletes

Union Mine implemented the mantra “Prove then wrong” well before this season began.

Now at 31-3 and in the NorCal finals, the Diamondbacks have silenced every naysayer.

I’m so thankful I’ve been able to intertwine my media side of life with my work at Union Mine as @umhsmensbasketball continues to make history! It’s a long-ish video but it’s what game days have looked like as of late. Pregame public address announcements, broadcast epic second half 15-point come from behind win, and a post game chat with @ethangines 🔥.
