I brought my camera to @naija_fest again this year, but this time instead of just candid shots, I decided to focus on something I love even more: portraits.

I wanted to capture the beautiful faces of our community and others who came out to celebrate Nigeria’s Independence Day. I was only able to stay for a short time, but I’m so grateful to everyone who graciously gave me a moment of their time and allowed me to make their a portrait.

Approaching strangers doesn’t always come naturally to me. Often my introverted side gets the best of me, but I embrace opportunities to push myself outside my comfort zone. And I’m so glad I did. 🇳🇬📸

Side note: With the woman celebrating her bday, they called her name to sing happy birthday right after I approached her, so that shot captured her reaction. 😁

Try this barre sequence for your core, arms, resilience and overall need for adventure.
For the love of barre, pilates, Ankara prints, Afrobeats and never once passing up a side quest for the wildest ways to do barre — this time it was a fallen tree trunk at the base of a mini waterfall.

This is easily my version of Barre in the Wild.

What’s yours? 👀 One week left to come find out in person — link in bio to grab your spot. 🌳

Go higher. Get your hopes up.

Our signature mosquito proverb took me out honestly. But we’ll take the proverb over the mosquito though 😆

Falling off that edge wasn’t an option. Comeback adventures at another happy place. ‘Found out it’s still missing our favorite swing over the creek — so guess who just might be coming back to build it? 😉🪨☀️

For the love of barre, pilates, ankara prints and brunch with besties — we will turn aside when we see a beckoning structure in the wild just to try the Superman pose.

Besties getting the right angle and yelling “go higher” the whole time helped, obviously.

Go higher. Get your hopes up.

Six years ago, this conference started as a seed -a simple yes planted in faith.

Year after year, we’ve watched God bring others to water it as He continued to grow and multiply it beyond anything we could have imagined. 🌱

To every woman who was there this year:
🌱Remember what God showed YOU.
💧Don’t forget what He whispered.
🌾& don’t leave the seeds He planted in that room behind.

Take them home.
Water them in faith.
Walk them out in obedience.
And trust God with the growth.

Because what God plants in each one of us has the power to grow beyond us -into our families, children, neighborhood, community and wherever else He calls us to next.

What God grows, always multiplies. 🌱🔜 🌾🌾🌾

Isaiah 35:2

Apparently the social media team has a new creative director… and they’re 7. 😂🎥

Different perspective. Unlimited confidence. Zero hesitation.

Be honest, are we keeping them on the team? 👀👇

When God calls you -GO.

Don’t overthink what you don’t have.
Don’t wait until you feel ready.

Instead, bring Him the little that you do have as you step out in obedience & trust Him to multiply it.

You have no idea what God can do with one surrendered YES -in 1 week, 1 year, or even 6 years.

If He called YOU -get up and go. 🙌🏼💪🏼🔥🙏🏼🫶🏼

Don’t miss what could be a divine appointment from God for you!

“My soul magnifies the Lord,
and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,
for He has looked on the humble estate of His servant.”
— Luke 1:46–48 ✨

Mary was an ordinary young woman whom God graciously chose. Her response is one of joy, humility, and trust in God’s plan. She goes to Elizabeth who is there with her in celebration of her motherhood, who recognizes that she is carrying our Savior. Let us be reminded that God honors the faithful and works powerfully through willing hearts. 🤍

For Mother’s Day, this scripture beautifully reflects a mother’s heart of surrender, gratitude, and faith. It points to the sacred calling of motherhood and nurturing life while giving glory to God.

Today as Mary and Elizabeth did we celebrate one another. To all the women who faithfully pour out love, wisdom, sacrifice, and encouragement every single day. May you feel deeply seen, loved, and refreshed today. 🌿

Happy Mother’s Day from @rm_encouragement #FaithFilledMotherhood #HomeschoolMamas #speakjesus
