⬅️ LAST STOP BEFORE ITS OVER .. PODCASTS. I get it. I'm tired of seeing people get on social media 10, 15, and 20 years later telling half the story about how they got screwed over in the music business. Now you have a whole new audience that doesn't understand the business, and everybody wants to play victim. TELL THE WHOLE STORY! Tell them what you SIGNED. Tell them you didn't have a lawyer, had the wrong lawyer, or didn't understand the paperwork. Tell them about that advance you took. I get it! $50K, $100K, $200K, or $250K is life-changing money when you've never had it. You want to get your family out of the hood. But that doesn't mean you sign your life away! Labels invest money to make MORE money. Advances are generally recoupable. And back in the day, getting dropped didn't necessarily mean the label lost its rights to your music. Now a record resurfaces 20 years later, and suddenly everybody wants to rewrite history for a new audience. STOP THAT SHIT! Do you know how many records I've helped break and NEVER received a thank you, plaque, credit, points, or splits? TOO MANY TO NAME! But guess what? I LEARNED! I was doing DJ shit, helping artists and breaking records without always negotiating my participation. That's BUSINESS, and I had to accept my part in it. Some people absolutely got taken advantage of. But every bad deal doesn't mean somebody robbed you. Sometimes you signed some shit you didn't understand! Integrity and loyalty don't always come with a contract. NOW LET ME TALK DIRECTLY TO THE ARTISTS! Your TALENT is the product. Your MUSIC is the asset. Your NAME is the brand. And your OWNERSHIP could be your family's future! STOP BEING SO DESPERATE TO GET SIGNED THAT YOU FORGET TO PROTECT WHAT YOU CREATED! Get your OWN entertainment attorney. Know your masters, publishing, royalties, splits, recoupment, and contract terms. Ask questions. NEGOTIATE! And if you don't understand the deal, DON'T SIGN THE DAMN DEAL! A $100,000 advance might change your life today, but OWNERSHIP and the RIGHT DEAL could change your family's life for generations! DON'T JUST CHASE THE CHECK. PROTECT THE CATALOG. PROTECT YOUR LEGACY. PROTECT YOUR FUTURE!

🚨 WHY MY NEW ALBUM WON'T BE ON SPOTIFY! 🚨 Am I mad? Maybe, but when streaming platforms make billions while artists struggle to make pennies, something has to change! I've decided that my new album, THE MAN I AM, won't be on Spotify! From Daniel Ek's investment in military AI company Helsing to a streaming royalty system that leaves so many independent artists earning fractions of a penny per play, I've decided to take a stand. Music has value. Artists have value. And we deserve better. ❤️ My older albums remain on Spotify because of shared ownership and existing agreements. But my new music? That's my decision 😉 HERE'S HOW YOU CAN SUPPORT ME DIRECTLY: BANDCAMP – Follow me, listen to and purchase my new music. MY WEBSITE – Buy my music on vinyl and sign up to my mailing list for updates. GOFUNDME – My new album is finished, but I need your help funding the radio, TV, press and promotional campaign to get it heard! Every donation, big or small, makes a difference. 🔗 ALL LINKS IN MY BIO! I'm not asking you to stop using Spotify. I'm asking you to consider supporting the artists you love directly. You don't need to stream my music a million times to make a difference. Supporting it once, directly, can mean so much more. Let's put the value back into music. TOGETHER! ❤️ Nate x #NateJames #TheManIAm #SupportIndependentArtists #Bandcamp #GoFundMe

BIGGIE > JAYZ Before algorithms decided what went viral, DJs decided what the world heard. And one record could change everything. The legendary Baka Boyz sit down with the R.O.A.D. Podcast, taking us back to an era when radio had the power to introduce the world to its next superstar. From the days of The Notorious B.I.G. to the golden era of Power 106, these are the stories and moments that helped define a generation. We celebrate the artists who made the music, but we can’t forget the DJs, producers, and tastemakers who helped bring that music to the world. The records made history. The people behind them built the culture. @damizza what’d you say to jay btw? legendary move 🎥 Credit: @djcity @roadpodcast • Episode 255 featuring @thebakaboyz #Sohmna #TheBakaBoyz #NotoriousBIG #HipHop #Power106
