Another group of interns graduated!

Some are moving on to careers
Some to study
Some to second year
& some onto church staff

But as @jackos_dave said so well “May the Holy Ghost go with them no matter what their next season holds”

They have all grown in amazing ways, taking ground, faced their pasts & declared over their future.

It’s been my greatest honour to be a bit of an intern mum to these guys & I think in some ways, I always will be.

Thank you class of 2025. We are grateful. We are proud.

When these guys said yes to being the interns of KCC and committed to build His Kingdom, I had no idea that I would legitimately fall in love with them. I have seen such growth in each one & know the Kingdom calling on each of them is special & sacred. I cannot wait to see them graduate this Sunday!

I’ve been incredibly blessed by our cohort of interns. From day one, they’ve brought energy, joy, and a deep sense of purpose that has brightened our church & staff culture in the best way. Their passion has not only strengthened our ministry & taken our work it Tuesday, Wednesdays & Sundays to a new level but has personally encouraged and inspired me more than they would know.

So grateful for each of them, and so proud of them.

For those who don’t know my time on staff at KCC has come to an end after three years. After the building project I felt it was time to step back and move out the way for the next amazing person to take on the role.

Looking back through old and new photos, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude for this church and all it has done in my life.

It has been an absolute honour to serve on staff and to be part of what God has done and is still doing in this place. I’m incredibly proud of the people, the culture, and the fruit that continues to grow.

I believe most things are seasonal, and while this season has ended, my love for my church and my church community hasn’t. One of the greatest joys has been walking with interns, seeing people grow, be challenged, and step into the fullness of who God has called them to be.

I’m so thankful for my pastors Fred and Anna for championing me, stretching me, and helping me become a better version of myself. Through this journey, God has done a deep work in me, inside and out, and placed the most incredible people in my life.

Church has been the truest picture of iron sharpening iron, brothers lifting up brothers.
Grateful for every moment, every challenge, and every victory.

Excited for what’s ahead and thankful beyond words.

I love the name of Jesus, find yourself in the House.

It’s hard to fit over a year of videos, and photos into 90 seconds.
This project has been one of the most challenging and rewarding things I’ve ever done. I came in just to help, but it became something so much bigger than any of us imagined. None of us knew what we were taking on, but through God’s strength, we made it happen.

We couldn’t have done it alone. Every person who put their hand to the plow made this possible.

Thank you to @nathan_spence for showing true tenacity and resolve, fighting against the odds and living up to being a real bulldog.

To the Logans. Darren, Rief , Rach, and Caleb you became the backbone of this project. The hours, unseen work, and drive you gave inspired me. Darren especially is a powerful example of a Godly man who sacrifices and works for the kingdom in practical ways.

@7seth_buckow7 @_chadmckenzie there from day one, sacrificing time and effort and learning along the way I’m proud of you.

All the guys there in the early days Joe, Chris, steve, Troy and Dan, who showed up week after week, thank you.

@_jakeyhughes_ and @_sbtauvao__ you were a Godsend right when we needed to push through. You sacrificed, committed, and helped us get across the finish line. It’s been a privilege working alongside you both.

Lastly, thank you to my pastors, Ps Fred and Ps Anna, for your prayers, belief, and incredible vision. Our executive team has been amazing, and Ps Caleb’s support at the end meant so much.

These men and women built this. I’m proud to have witnessed the best of this community and church. Hundreds of hours went in, and while many stories will never be known, what we shared as a team was something special. Seeing this building become a home and a church officially on Sunday was deeply satisfying. From the fruits of a few good men’s labour, I believe we’ll see our city changed

In this building, I met God in a way I never had before. I didn’t value myself or anything, and I was filled with so much self doubt.
When you are where you’re supposed to be, you are pressed and pushed.. in the pressing, you grow. I rejected pressure and ran from responsibility, but in this building, I was challenged to be more, to want more, and to dream for more. When you do this, you can find so much more strength and purpose.

While I was there, I was called higher. God put the right people in my life and gave me the opportunity to be more than who I thought I was. In this building, I became a leader, a mentor, a friend, and a servant. In this building, I met a woman who became my wife, and in this building, I met with God, and He showed me the true desires of my heart. I’ve learnt so much, and I will be forever grateful.

I’m proud to have led interns and to see them become confident, hardworking, and to seek out God in all things.

I’m proud to have mentored young men, to see their potential, and to not live in shame and fear of not being enough.

And I’m proud to be a part of something so important. My life is better with Jesus.

What a time we had at this building.
On to the next one.

It felt like an old school youth camp… just with better food, and @caleb_j_sheppard didn’t have to patrol the halls for youths not sleeping🤣

Last weekend marked our first ever @kcc_au Intern Retreat, and what a weekend it was. Running our church’s internship is one of the greatest privileges of my life, sowing into the next generation of young adults who are hungry for God, sold out for His kingdom, and giving their all to the journey.

This particular group has gone deeper, stretched further, and leaned in with everything they’ve got. And this retreat? It was a holy moment. A memory-maker. A foundation-laying, faith-building, Spirit-filled weekend I’ll never forget.

I’m so grateful. So blessed. And so excited for what’s to come!

This year has been like no other with the highest highs and the lowest lows, God has shown His faithfulness through it ALL. I personally had no desire to do college or any expectations for it. But we graduated today with the most unexpected group of friends, memorable moments, a wealth of knowledge but more importantly my identity in Christ.
