Apparentlyyyyyyyy I had a great time as a counselor at @tamufishcamp. I feel so fortunate to not only have had my fellow counselors and chairs that I had, but also the fish. During my time as counselor, I got to let go of any stress and just have fun with my friends without a care for how stupid I looked or what other people may think of me which was such a refreshing feeling. Thinking back about how a little over a year ago, I was a little freshman in the red room unsure of what would come next, to being a counselor, some of my first role models at college and those who made me feel supported. The full circle moment of being there again, but now as the very role model I look up to felt so insane, yet it felt natural to me. I hope that I made at least one freshman laugh or feel supported and cared for during my time at Lakeview and I hope to continue so at College Station. I know I couldn’t have done this without the help of my fellow counselors and my chairs. To all of you, I want you to know how much each and every one of you constantly inspired me during spring semester, this summer, and even at camp and I don’t see that changing anytime soon. I feel so lucky to have such a wide range of people who are not only some of the funniest people I have ever met, but also so genuine and caring. I have changed and grown so much since rev night and I know I will forever hold these memories of you all so fondly. I want to especially thank my perf partz, Lexi. You were always so caring and encouraging who constantly pushed me to be better. You not only gave me a couch to sleep on, but a space to improve and feel supported. To my chairs, I have one sentence for each of you. To Austin, I hope you never forget about the bedbugs. To Megan, I still only have the ‘Bryd’ magnet. I obviously have more to say though. You have not only given me but all of us to build a family that I know will stay strong no matter what. You have supported all of us and pushed us to be the best counselors and people possible. Thank you to everyone in Camp Byrd, namesakes, chairs, counselors, fish, everyone. One last thing, Byrd Bai!

@tamufishcamp has truly been an unforgettable experience and it is all thanks to the wonderful people in Camp Byrd. I truly cannot express how grateful I am for every single person in Byrd and I am so blessed to have been apart of yalls lives. Going into Rev Night I could have never predicted how perfect everyone has been in camp. Austin and Megan have been the best chairs ever and they made it all happen for us counselors and campers. The counselors have been on another level. I have never met so many people who shared the same love, passion, and goal for something bigger than themselves. This group of people is truly special to me and I cannot say in words how much I love them all. I will never forget my experience as a first year counselor and I am so excited to grow my friendships with everyone in our camp.

To my DG kids, you guys were everything I wanted and more in camp. Yall instantly bought into fish camp which warms my heart. I am so excited to get to know yall personally and to watch you fall in love with A&M. If yall need ANYTHING never hesitate to reach out to my or my lovely partner Bella.

To Bella, you are my perfect partner and I couldn’t see myself doing this with anyone else. You were exactly what I wanted in a partner and you find ways to always go above and beyond. I cannot wait to hangout with you, our camp, and our DG going into the next year. I love you so much partz!!!
