Last night was what Paddles Up is truly all about. 💚💙🏓 Competitive games. Great energy. Lots of laughs. New friendships. A community coming together because of the game we all love. A huge shoutout to our very own, Dan Palumbo, who has become the heart of our East Setauket location. Dan took the initiative to organize these ladder nights and create an atmosphere where players can compete, improve, and most importantly… have fun. That kind of leadership and passion can’t be taught. This wasn’t just ladder play. It was people staying late, cheering each other on, battling on the courts, and leaving with smiles on their faces. Moments like this remind us why we built Paddles Up in the first place. 🙌 More to come. 🔥 #PaddlesUpFamily #PickleballCommunity #LadderPlay #PaddlesUpPickleball #EastSetauket PlayCompeteConnect

I’m on a heater!!! Let’s keep this going!!! Another 1st time partnership and took home the Mixed Doubles GOLD with a great partner @pickleballbutcute. She played great all night, had great resets and slowed down the game when needed. We went 6-2 over 8 games with a +37 point differential and oniy lost those 2 games 11-10 and 11-9. Congrats to my boy @dan.palumbo who took home the Bronze. Another great Mini-Tournament (7 teams) run by @andyandy14 . Looking forward to the next one 🙂 @goodgame_pickleball @nypdpickleball @merrick_in_a_pickle

We came, we saw, we conquered. Two days later and still feeling over the moon about the results. A first for the Jersey Boys, and one that felt years in the making. After a few weeks of playing poorly, a solid drill session Tuesday fed into a few good games, which built my confidence heading into the night. 6 teams, about half of the people we knew. Figured I would have to be on my game to achieve the goal we were aiming for. A little nervous to start, but calmed down pretty quickly. The breakthrough actually came in a game that didn’t count, when I felt a looseness that I’ve never experienced in a tournament before. Chose to ride that as long as I could, staying positive towards myself and maintaining focus on the opponents. The goal was to find weaknesses early and exploit them at will. Went undefeated in pool play, and dominated the semis. Started down 4-0 in the finals, but still held the belief that if we could just stop the bleeding and get back to even then it would still be ours for the taking. Once we took an 8-5 lead I started to get the tingle of victory coming. A few points later, the game was over, us as champions. The results don’t even come close to appearing without the process. The games, the practices, the studying of tape (my own and others) to continue to grow my game however possible. It is always nice to see it pay off, but this is only the beginning. #pickleball #perfectpickleballjourney #fyp #growth #win
