CBC - 2012 - I remember after that first missed free throw I was mad, and confused because I was a very good free throw shooter. I put in all the work and I knew I shoulda made that, BUT I had no time to be mad.. I had to regroup and take a breath. I went back to my routine and hit the shot to put us at 100 points. Then my bro Dave @lunaluna272 hit a layup to end the game. Lesson: don’t beat yourself up about mistakes, take a breather, regroup and try again. #EnjoyTheJourney

@dan22luna gives us an insight on the level of commitment he’s looking for when evaluating players looking to join the @clermontcrocs

We had the opportunity to sit down with the Clermont Crocs owner, Daniel Luna. A very passionate leader in the community with an eye for detail. Daniel started this organization from the ground up, providing numerous opportunities for his team in Florida, the US and even other countries.

Be sure to check out our full interview Friday on our YouTube as we pick his brain and get a further look at how he likes to operate.

In the fall of 2010 me and @lunaluna272 put everything we had on the line to tryout for a team about 3 hours north or Los Angeles where we lived. We had to borrow money to afford to stay in the dorms, we had other school options and felt this was a risky decision but we believed we were up for the challenge. The school had players from all around the world flying in; Israel, Poland, Australia, Germany.. it was 6 weeks of two a day workouts.. scrimmages with coaches watching and weight lifting.. me and Dave made a name for ourselves with our fire, passion, and trash talk 😂.. it was a gauntlet and a fight for “survival”.. and we loved the fight. We would even walk 3 miles back from the school along a highway to make sure we did every workout possible to show the coaches our dedication.
After the 6 weeks training camp the coaches made their decision.. they chose their 15 players, and me and Dave were not picked. We were cut. Many of the guys who made it came up to us after and said “keep going, you guys have what it takes” - we definitely were disappointed BUT it wasn’t because we thought weren’t good enough. It was the exhaustion of having to climb back up that mountain next year.. long story short we made the team at Rio Hondo College the following year and played against many of these guys. They were happy for us. Life has a way of coming together if you hold your faith ✝️🙏 Jesus can do all things
