Meet the first Works in Progress pairing!

Launched as part of Parehuia’s 20th Anniversary, Works in Progress is a new McCahon House initiative that brings together early-career artists with Parehuia alumni for five months of one-to-one mentoring, critical dialogue, and professional development.

We’re delighted to introduce our first mentee, Skye Lunson-Storey (Te Whakatōhea, Ngāti Maniapoto, Ngāti Tūwharetoa, Pākehā), who will be mentored by Dan Arps.

Based in Tāmaki Makaurau and raised in Tauranga Moana, Skye is an artist, writer and editor whose practice spans moving image, sculpture and sound. Their work explores climate change, urban infrastructure, Indigenous futurisms and wai, asking how we might move beyond controlling water towards learning to live with it.

The programme is generously supported by Manchester Trust, Hugo Charitable Trust and Chartwell Trust.
