We know what it’s like to go fast and hug the road.
So if your skates aren’t hugging the ice the way they should… you know where to find me.

Harley to the rescue.

This skater is *back* after an injury—and she’s only got a few months left in her skating journey. She didn’t want to purchase new skates (and honestly, I get it), but her current setup was fighting her every step. She technically needs the next size up… yet the heel fit is actually right on. The problem? The front of the boot was never widened properly by the shop, so her foot was getting crushed up front.

Swipe and check out the insole… it tells the whole story. Her foot imprint is pushed so far forward it can’t even lay flat—definitely not sitting where it should under her toes or supporting her arch. That’s discomfort, bad mechanics, and injury risk all rolled into one. Harley opened up the toe box the *right* way so she can finish these last months strong, comfortable, and supported.

If your boots feel “fine” in the heel but brutal in the toes… it’s usually fixable.
Contact **Dan & Harley** to get your fit dialed in.

Increasing skills and just avoided a full wave of destruction. Superman can rest easy that the Fortress of Sanditude will last the day.

Behind the scenes at a roller event, posted up at the @skates_us booth, and I look over… and it’s Rick Smith (Ricks’ Roller & Ice Cave) doing what he does best—making magic with a welder and a roller plate.

In the world of skate techs, two of the most sought-after people to train under are Bruce Hurd @bruce_living_on_the_edge Hurd and this gentleman, Rick Smith. If you know, you know.

I’ve had the honor of working with Rick, learning from him, and I’m proud to call him a friend. I’m looking forward to working with him again and continuing to learn—because you don’t get this level of craftsmanship without years of doing it the right way.
