Anyone that knows me (interviewers, teammates etc) can tell you I am a girl of few words when put on the spot. I definitely keep it short and sweet. But when I’m comfortable I actually have a lot to say.

So here we are my rookie season complete. I can’t believe I started the season with my parents dropping me off to trainings and finished the season driving myself. 😂 Coming into this season I had set some BIG goals for myself. No doubt people thought I was crazy. But that too is just who I am. The bigger the goal the harder I work. No, I didn’t achieve every goal that I had made for myself, but I came dang close. Making my debut, getting my first start and scoring my first goal, were all goals I wanted to achieve my rookie season. And I did that!

But it wasn’t easy. It was freaking hard!! Juggling a full time job, school, church and life was hard. And on top of that there was a lot of trying to find myself. Where I fit in or how I fit in. I felt more comfortable with my teammates even though they are older, than with people my own age. I am always being told to do more teenage things and act more my age. But if I did that would I be where I am right now? Being different is the reason I am where I am. I am not missing out on anything or losing my childhood. I am doing what I have always wanted to do and where you see missing out I see blessed. I still do all the things I love when I am not playing soccer and I have zero regrets. I chose this life. Not my parents, ME. I worked for this, I set the goal to be here, and I am exactly where I want to be and more importantly where God wants me to be. And everyone from staff to teammates to security guard all helped this teenager find her perfect fit.

I am so grateful for everyone that has been part of my first season. Fans, friends, teammates, my agency, old clubs, family, and most importantly God. Thank you all so much it truly means the world to me. See you next season 🫶🏾

Throughout this season, I’ve learned to cherish the fact that we share (almost) every meal together. Even when the season feels like a grind or you’re on the road for long stretches of time…I find myself excited for every team meal because I know I’ll laugh with the girls and enjoy these little moments together 🥹
