Now that enough time has passed and all contracts have expired… I can now share my FIFA World Cup experience!
I’ve been a soccer fan my entire life not to mention I’ve been a Spain fan since childhood 🇪🇸I had never been to a World Cup match live until April 2026 when I got the opportunity to work the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Kansas City. Six matches. One stadium. Months of preparation and an experience I’ll never forget.
I was fortunate enough to be part of a team of approximately 50 supervisors responsible for securing the stadium and overseeing nearly 1,000 security gaurds from May through the final match in Kansas City.
Twelve hour shifts on non match days. Match days were 10am to 2am!
Securing any stadium is no small task! Securing a FIFA World Cup stadium is on an entirely different level.
The amount of manpower, planning, rules, regulations and security involved was absolutely unbelievable.
One of the coolest parts was watching Arrowhead Stadium transform step by step into a FIFA World Cup stadium.
I never imagined I would be part of an operation of this magnitude.
My partner and mentor Tim and I were given the responsibility of securing the VIP and VVIP area AKA “The Tower.”
And let me tell you…
THE WHO’S WHO walked through those doors! King, queen, prime minister, governors, celebrities, and a long list of soccer ex legends! Zidan, Carles Puyol, Edmílson Moraes, René Higuita, Clarence Seedorf, Carlos Tevez and so many others.
But then came one guest who was different! I was fortunate enough to meet him and speak with him and take a picture with him.
That legend was none other than my childhood hero Roberto Baggio 🇮🇹❤️

The kids were able to attend the final World Cup match in Kansas City and they got to experience it in style from the hospitality suite.
The atmosphere. The match. The experience.
But somehow it got even got better!!!
We went down onto the pitch! It can’t get better right? It did!! We all got to take a penalty kicks!!
Unforgettable experience!

Yesterday at the MAHA Music Festival in downtown Omaha, Gelu Italian Ice was a big hit once again! 🍧🔥

But this event was extra special for me because it was the first time Nader worked an event with me and Danah at the same time.

And let me tell you… there is never a dull moment when Nader is around. 😂

The event itself was awesome! We were emptying bucket after bucket of Gelu all day and into the night. People kept coming back for more, and we were going nonstop other than one hour rain delay! By the 11:30pm and after hundreds and hundreds of Gelu cups scooped I had zero more energy to give!

Did I mention I was free labor? 😂But it was okay this time because I wasn’t alone…
Nader was free labor too! 🤣

I have to say thanks to Ms trouble @lorren.feldhacker for her help.. as always never a dull moment with her as well😬 also thanks to Shanna for her supply chain roll keeping Gelu buckets coming when we need them and keeping everyone fed 🙏🏽

Until the next event… 🍧💪🏼😎

You have an upcoming event in the omaha area?

Saturday was the first day off from anything FIFA related in what feels like forever. Drove to Omaha and since everyone was busy on 4th of July night and I was solo It was nice to get the motorcycle out and just go for a ride.
After riding around for about an hour and a half ... I ended up at my favorite hidden spots in Midtown. It’s one of those places I’ve been going to for years because it’s hidden, has some good memories attached to it, and just happens to have an amazing view of the fireworks.

After the fireworks ended I headed down to South O on a mission to see if my favorite food truck was still there. It had been over three years since my last visit but sure enough... there they were! Still making what I swear are the absolute best carne asada tortas on the planet. 🌮😋 That was the perfect way to end the night.
Sunday we celebrated Nader’s birthday with a few close friends at... as usual... our favorite place Hiro Sushi on Maple. A huge thank you once again to Sami for taking care of us and letting us use the party room.
Nothing extravagant... just motorcycles... fireworks... amazing food... creating memories with family and great friends which is what it’s all about❤️

and make it dairy free, gluten free, fat free, & vegan 🤪
and NO this is NOT the same as shaved ice!!!
it’s italian ice 🍨 made with fresh ingredients, avoiding that fake stuff as much as possible 👋🏼 and you’ve gotta try it!!!!
