Dana Bahr started her business in 2020 with her laptop on an Amazon box so it’d be high enough to stand at while her baby was in the carrier.

That is not the version you see in the six-week launch course.

Dana runs @danas.desk.nc, a Pinterest marketing for wedding professionals and online business owners. She went full time after two years, when her side income actually matched her salary. She now has five kids, a twelve-year-old she has trained to schedule client content, and a business built around time freedom and the ability to wander. In this episode she talks about why Pinterest is a search engine not a social platform, why content that compounds beats content that spikes, and why building slow on purpose is not a consolation prize.

Dana Bahr posts on Instagram knowing exactly what she's getting: a short-term bump. What she builds underneath it is a pathway that keeps the same content getting found long after that post stops moving. 📌

Visibility shouldn't be something you rebuild from scratch every single morning. In the full episode she explains why most people look at Pinterest through exactly the wrong lens. ✨

Follow Dana @danas.desk.nc for the Pinterest side of her brain.

Episode 4 of Let's Be Brief is officially live. 📌

Dana Bahr and I get into why Pinterest works more like a search engine than a social feed, how to flip the lens so you see the platform the way your ideal client already uses it, and the reason the biggest win she watches her clients have is an internal one.

A little about Dana: she's a Pinterest-led growth strategist, podcast host, and the founder of Dana's Desk, where she helps creative entrepreneurs and service providers build visibility systems that keep working long after the content is published.

Her gift for you is Pinterest as a 24/7 Sales Funnel, a free resource that walks you through turning content you've already made into steady traffic, leads, and inquiries. ✨ Link's in the first comment.

Follow Dana @danas.desk.nc while you're there, she builds marketing that supports her life instead of consuming it, and she shows you exactly how.

The whole episode is right here as a Reel. Stay for the random skill that has nothing to do with her business, it involves a very large bag of dice. 🎲

A new episode drops every other Tuesday.

Dana Bahr @danas.desk.nc has a giant bag full of dice. The expensive ones live in their own separate tiny bags, because obviously they do. 🎲

I ask every Let's Be Brief guest for a random skill that has nothing to do with their business, and this was not the answer I expected from a Pinterest strategist. She also has a very good reason your visibility resets to zero every time you stop posting. 📌

One question has helped us more than almost anything else when my business feels overwhelming:

"What is actually in my control right now?"

Not tomorrow.

Not next week.

Not the worst-case scenario my brain has already created.

Just right now.

When we're overwhelmed, we try to solve every problem at once.

The client.
The deadline.
The money.
The future.
Our reputation.

No wonder we feel stuck.

The next time you feel yourself
spiraling, stop and ask yourself:

What's one thing I can do right now?

Then go do that.

One thing.

Not seventeen. (We’re definitely speaking from experience. 😅)

That's how emotional regulation becomes a habit.
🎧 We dive deeper into this in the latest episode of Entrepreneur Encounter.
