Week 12. Race week. The final one.

12 weeks of updates, and tomorrow it all comes down to this.

Chester Marathon. My second marathon of the year, alongside the 27 and a half hours and 187km I ran back in May. And somehow, this one scares me a hell of a lot more.

I've covered the distance before. But this is different. This is FAST.

I know there will be a point tomorrow when the pace starts to hurt, when everything in me wants to back off, and when slowing down feels like the sensible option. The question isn't whether I'll suffer. It's when it starts, where it happens, and how long I can hold on before the wheels come off.

I never feel right until that 10-second countdown hits one. Then it's 2–3km to settle in, find the rhythm, and commit to a pace I'm hoping to hold until the bitter end.

This week was about keeping life moving, keeping the legs ticking over, and doing everything I could not to let Sunday consume me before it arrived.

Threw it back to caveman training with Steph on Wednesday, back to where all of this began for me. A couple of runs, nothing crazy, and one final week of trying to keep the mind quiet while knowing exactly what's waiting around the corner.

Twelve weeks of work. Setbacks, illness, doubt, and plenty of miles. The training was never perfect, but it's done now. There's nothing left to change.

Tomorrow, I get to find out what's actually there when the road gets hard.

Hopefully, I can bring HIM to the surface.

No guarantees. No promises about the time. Just a start line, a target, and the willingness to find out how much I'm prepared to suffer for it.

See you on the other side.

The sled pull has to be one of the most strictly judged elements in HYROX 😅🛷

Did anyone else get pulled by Judge Dread, @pt_gordon_bieling last year in Brum?! 😂🙋‍♀️ He even gave me a round of applause after my sled pull 👏🤣

I feel like @danattwal has a VERY different perception of him… 👀😂

Looking forward to seeing you again this season, @pt_gordon_bieling ! Let’s see what you’ve got for me this time 😏🔥
