If you haven’t checked it out yet, give Home on the Water by @fieldandstream a watch. It was meaningful to be a part of telling this story and sharing some of what makes living along the Gulf so special. We put a lot into this hoping that folks would get something out…not just about Hurricanes or fishing, but friendship and life.
.
Thank you @matthew_every for allowing me to be a part! It was a blast.

When Hurricane Helene tore through Florida’s Gulf Coast, Captain Evan Snow lost nearly everything — his house, his dock, his sense of home. But he never stopped fishing.

His is the story of resilience, redfish, and rebuilding a life on the water.

🎣 Watch the full video, get fishing tips, recipes, and more at the link in bio.

IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO MAKE A VIDEO, THE TEAM HAS GOT YOU!!

Have you ever wondered about the origins of the deranged tech lords that put so much effort into shaping the state of our world to fit their own visions and interests? It was very educational for me to cam op on this piece backing up DP @dancain to interview author and journalist #AnnaCrowleyRedding about her knowledge of #ElonMusk ‘s upbringing and earlier life experiences that molded his behavior today. That interview joined with lots of other research to make the documentary VICE News Presents: Cult of Elon, presented by @tubi. A thousand thank yous to @nicole.huber from @vicenews for putting me on to be a part of the piece’s storytelling. A fun memento at the end of all of it is that we got a great EQ rental from @lvrusa, and in those pickups and returns I was blessed with their dino sticker, a selection from LVR’s epic sticker series, that I’ve heard is fueled by their founder Michael Liman being a for-real lifer Deadhead who loves that feel good music and kickstarted the merch with LVR Grateful Dead dancing bear stickers because of it.

Two decades ago @sodoesthefire hailing from New York City and LA, was founded by Echo Danon @ming_vauz and Mount Sims. The band forged a unique sound that merged the raw essence of post-punk with shoegaze and dark electro-clash. The cult track ‘Adult’ was engineered by @a.atom.g + drums by @dancain This version of the song was recorded at The Seedy Underbelly Studio in LA and stands as a significant piece in the underground music’s archive. Currently working on new material with John Andersen @thechildren_now

Got a lot of questions about my musical past this weekend. I played in bands for most of my adult life - before and during neurosurgery training. Had incredible times with incredible people. Wouldn’t change a thing. #livethelifeyoulovelovethelifeyoulive
