🌟 IDD Spotlight 🌟

Each month we will be sharing a stand out listing from our Inclusive Dance Directory. This month, we are shining a light on one of our own resource films. Parable Dance secured Arts Council England funding to create this inclusive dance resource film, bringing together 42 of the UK's most experienced inclusive dance artists and companies. If you are interested in watching the film, follow the link in our bio.

While you're there, you can subscribe to our newsletter to stay up to date with new listings, submit your own opportunities, resources and company/artist bios or just browse through listings in your local area 🌟

Space for Exchange is back! ✨

We’re excited to kick off the second edition of our free 8-month peer-learning programme that brings together cultural professionals working with children and young people, creating space to connect, reflect and grow.

Guided by facilitator Sheryl Malcom @sherylmalcolm1995, participants will explore what drives their work, what good practice looks like, and who benefits most.

We are thrilled to welcome the following 22 participants to this year’s cohort, representing a diverse range of organisations. 💫

CROYDON ISN'T A BLANK CANVAS 🌱

It’s full of communities and culture which deserve support, protection and stability.

Turf was founded in 2013 by local artists.
Still led by locals, over 13 years we've tirelessly nurtured creativity in our borough through:
👉 Over 60 free projects & 700 free workshops, getting over 50,000 people of all ages involved in art.
👉 Over 600 paid opportunities for local & national artists.
👉 Studio space for 4 local organisations & over 60 studio artists.

Like so many organisations across the country, we've done all this from unstable, temporary spaces.

It's time to change that.

Who gets to take up space defines who gets opportunities, who feels valued, who gets to belong.

It's time to insist on a future for Croydon that prioritises spaces for, created by, led by, and truly belonging to local communities.

Turf is creating a plan for such a space; a community-rooted, non-commercial home for creativity, that is built to last.

Support Turf’s campaign for a permanent home:
📣 Share & back Turf publicly with #PERMACULTURECroydon!
📣 Tell decision-makers: Turf needs a permanent home! [@jasonperrycroydon @andystranack @croydoncouncil @mayorofldn @justinesimons @stevereedlabour]
📣 Connect us to people who can help!

A throw back to when I was headlining @clubsodacroydon 3rd birthday celebration! It was such a beautiful show, so much laughter and joy, all of us dancing together and a bonus for me personally was my little sister coming along and being able to have a dance with her was everything 🩶

I will never have the voice of @adamlambert but I certainly will always giggle like a little school boy every time someone mentions I remind them of him 🤭
