And then came the chorus… 🥹❤️ Lazy Lamhe💃💃

When the entire class started singing along while I was dancing, I genuinely got emotional. In that moment, it felt like all the energy and love I'd poured into the room was coming right back to me. And there's something incredibly special about realizing that you've made people feel something through dance.

I've always loved teaching fun, high-energy Bollywood tracks, but Lazy Lamhe brought a whole different kind of sass to the room! 🔥

And what a class this turned out to be!

I love that sass, expression, and movement aren't confined to any one gender. Seeing everyone embrace the style, step outside their comfort zones, and push through a challenging choreography made me so happy.

And the best part? Nobody wanted to stop dancing!

We stayed back for another hour after class, drilling, dancing, laughing, and running the choreography over and over again. Almost THREE hours of dancing, simply because we were having so much fun!

These are the moments I cherish as an instructor. Not just seeing people execute choreography, but seeing them connect with the music, challenge themselves, and give that energy right back.

Thank you for showing up with so much heart. You made this class incredibly special. 💙

I took a little risk with this one and I’m so glad so many of you showed up ready to try something different. 🤍
Ride It has been one of those songs I’ve loved for years, so finally getting to choreograph a piece to it felt incredibly special.

Smooth doesn’t always mean simple.

For this class, I wanted to stay true to the style of Ride It- the grooves, the control, the sass, the pauses, the restraint. That’s also why I didn’t want to turn it into a Bollywood interpretation. I wanted the movement language to feel true to the song.

The choreography may look effortless when you watch it, but there was so much happening underneath it : constant weight transfers, changes in direction, pauses, control, and some really tricky transitions between steps.

And that became my favorite part of teaching this one.

We got to talk about the physics of movement : where your weight is, where it needs to go next, what initiates a movement, and how one step actually connects into another.

And this room was hungry to learn.

Everyone stayed patient, kept trying, asked questions, pushed through the unfamiliarity, and trusted me through the process. I’m so, so grateful for that.

Because yes, when I dance it, it may look smooth.

But learning how to make it feel smooth? That’s where the training is. 🤍

This team. ❤️

Where do I even begin? On day one, I told them:

“I don’t care how many years of experience you have. I don’t care if you’ve been dancing for 20 years or 20 days. When you walk onto that stage, the audience shouldn’t be able to tell the difference.”

That was the standard. And wow... did they rise to it.

Every single person on this team leveled up. They listened. They trusted the process. They showed up. They worked hard. They pushed through frustration. They practiced when nobody was watching.

And by the time they got on that stage, they all looked like ONE!

Looking back, are there things I would do differently?
Absolutely.

As a choreographer and leader, there are lessons I am taking away from this experience. I would have been more proactive in understanding the competition, connecting with organizers, learning the judging criteria, and understanding what was being rewarded. Had I known ‘theme’ was a significant criterion, I would have approached the piece very differently. Storytelling and themes are actually some of my favorite things to create. That’s my forte and I could have played on that!

There are many things I would change about my approach.

But there is one thing I would not change. This team!
Not for a second.

Because they gave me everything I asked for and then some.
They trusted me when I told them they were capable of more. And together, we created something beautiful.

Did we win a trophy? No. But we built confidence. We built resilience.
We built dancers.

And honestly, that’s a victory I’m incredibly proud of.
If I had to do it all over again, I’d choose this team every single time. ❤️

This team! I am so proud of!
Presenting Live2Dance Competition Team 2026. 🔥

Our story: At Live2Dance, we have a philosophy that is very different from most performing and competition teams. We don’t do auditions. We don’t make cuts. We don’t handpick dancers. Anyone who wants to dance, learn, and perform wit us, is welcome to join us, regardless of their experience level.

That means this team includes people who have been dancing for 20+ years and people who have never danced on a stage before.

Different backgrounds, different skill levels, and different journeys, pushing themselves hard, and coming together to create something bigger than themselves.

When you watch us perform today, you’re not just watching choreography. You’re watching confidence being built. You’re watching people step outside their comfort zones 👏

You’re watching a team that chose inclusion over exclusivity ❤️

And that’s something we’re incredibly proud of 🥹
