A dear friend captured this video of our @danceability.international show at the University of Oregon in collaboration with @orchestranext. Something special about this trio piece! Originally created by other Danceability dancers and Certified DA instructors for the Oregon Bach Festival, it has changed and adapted to the bodies of whoever is performing it throughout the years and each version is so unique and beautiful! Here you see on stage by my side @kdmonoped and @elana_sutton accompanied by orchestra next members.

“Tango Tangle” original choreography + commentary by Alito Alessi. Performed since 1990 with Emery Blackwell for DanceAbility International. With Alito’s blessing, ERV is actively seeking people who use wheelchairs & roller skaters for explorative dance. Combining 12 wheels in harmony is our attempt to radically eliminate feelings of isolation in our society & dismantle perceived limitations of physical, mental, and spiritual nature. ALL BODIES SPEAK. Together as a village we can reach out to our unlimited potential on wheels. The full 12 minute performance is on Youtube, search for “Tango Tangle Danceability International”.
