The world… and even more so the dance world can be SO cruel to these young girls (and boys), but kids like these make you remember there’s still good out there.

@danceacademydance your 11 and Under kiddos are AMAZING, and not just with their performances. Loryn was on stage for awards by herself and your kids welcomed her like they’ve known her for forever. They cheered for her and gave her fives and congratulations after she accepted her adjudications and other awards. During the best of the best show, Loryn had a blip in her solo and hurt her foot, came off the stage upset and crying. ALL of your girls (not just the ones her age) and parents told her what a good job she did and went to boost her confidence. They invited her to sit and watch the remaining performances with them and even let her stand with them backstage.

This. This is what dance is about. Loryn’s spark had gone away in the aspect of dance for the past month, but it’s coming back.

Dance Academy coaches, dancers, and parents: from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU! Thank you for including my girl, rooting for her, and lifting her spirits. It means more than you will ever know. 🤍❤️
