Throughout the past two summers, I witnessed and experienced the thoughtful research, choreographic and interdisciplinary development, and artistic becoming of a beautifully unique, deeply invested, and earthshakingly talented group of artists. I’m humbled and honored to have been a member of this MFA in Dance cohort at Hollins University.

There was a remarkable, magical magnetism that I won’t forget. The care and commitment to each other and our collective energies toward our dance research is a rarity I wish all artists could experience.

My thesis, Choreographic Oracles: Artificial Intelligence, Ritual, and Technological Implications for the Future of Dance, allowed me to create a new framework through which to archive, create, learn, and teach movement. In performance, I verbally communicated with an AI movement system I built and trained through my own research. It can measure my body, identify dance shapes and movement, and offer real-time motion capture feedback. Effectively, I bridged the gap between embodied knowledge and embodied technology as a means of research and performance. More content on that to come!

All of my coursework is now complete, and I’m putting the final touches on my written thesis.

What an incredible experience. I still can’t get over my towing and acro intensive co-coached by @coachseyroy and @danceking_miami!

In this clip here you can see Keith🙄 stretching me in a position that I have never quite been stretched in before! This was a fool back butt in hamstring lengthening, and I was all here for it! I can’t wait to show you all more clips of this incredible experience! Thank you, Keith! Thank you Roy

Huge shout out to @danceking_miami and @coachseyroy for helping me curate, an amazing tumbling and acro intensive. I truly cannot imagine the class without the assistance of your boys. You're not familiar with Keith, (dance king Miami), he is a scholar, an athlete, one hell of a man, and on his way to being a doctor! The knowledge he imported on my self and my students was invaluable, and I look forward to working with you again, brother! If you need to learn how to stretch, to dance, to move, to open your body up, he is the man!

Another shout out to my boy, Roy (coach sayroy), we have been rocking together for a couple of years after meeting him in a gymnastics and aqua training coach @darylfoster brought his dancers too. Royce energy, knowledge, self-taught nature, and breath of knowledge has caused me to seek come out time and time again whenever I am in Atlanta and in need of some private coaching and or bonding time. He's a phenomenal instructor, coaches, all age groups, and also an amazing man. Looking to take your tumbling skills to the next level? Hit this man up!

National owes me nothing! What an amazing experience I am so happy and so proud of myself. This journey has definitely been an amazing only doing gymnastics for seven years and competing for four years and I could say I’ve made it to level 10 thank you so much for everyone from pass to now who has helped me with my journey to grow.
