What a lovely occasion! Congratulations to @lin_kam_art /@linett_kamala - for the vision and superb organisation - and partners too. Such a pleasure and an honour to be invited to play and be the sounds of the day alongside @djcuppat (who also powered it up with her sound system).
Blessings and thanks to @dancelaura [Princess Laura] , @ladybigz_pure_niceness and @outerglobe [Debbie Golt] for repping @vinylsistersuk so finely. Tuuuunes all round! Great to see @jigandaswig Irish Dance in action and the Jamaican Maypole was a treat. And such tasty food including @kinza_da as well as brilliant community contributors' stalls. Some people came in fabulous national dress as well.
And the vibes were joyous and heartical. More please!!

Welcome to the introduction of the "Ska Train". A chance for those entranced by the heavy beat of the music to showcase their moves while encouraging others to join in expressing themselves.....

Thanks @gaffa_blue for bringing my favourite Ska track "Dreadnaught" by Baba Brooks.
How sassy does @rachel_kay_portraiture look at the rear?!

Brixton basslines run deep. This week, I’m joined by Becca and Laura — two women with roots in reggae, sound system culture, and the heartbeat of South London. From Lovers Rock to vinyl nights, from 80s dancehalls to today’s youth-led revival, we’re talking legacy, lyrics, and loud speakers. 🔊 🦁 🎵 🎶 ♥️ 🟡 💚

Join us at 13:00 live on @bmc.radio
