🚀✨ Another local business is helping our Explorers AIM HIGH! ✨🚀

We’re so excited to welcome our newest Launching Pad Sponsor, Dance Moves of Charleston! 💚

Dance Moves has been inspiring dancers of all ages for more than 24 years, and with a studio right here in Nexton, they’re already an important part of our community. Many Nexton Elementary students are also part of the Dance Moves family, which makes this partnership extra special! 🩰✨

When we asked why they chose to support the Nexton Elementary PTA, they shared:

“At Dance Moves of Charleston, we believe in giving back to the communities that support us. Sponsoring Nexton Elementary was a natural choice because they are our next-door neighbor and many of their students are also part of our Dance Moves family. We’re proud to support the school, its students, and the families who help make our community such a special place to live, learn, and grow.”

We LOVE seeing our local businesses invest right back into the families they serve. 💚

Please help us give a BIG Explorer thank you to Dance Moves of Charleston for supporting our students, our school, and our community!

🚀 Aim High Together!

Dance & Art camp with @dancemovesnexton was a blast! Students started their mornings off with dance, had a snack break and then spent the rest of their time creating with me. Thank you again to DanceMoves for having me, excited to work together again!

✨ Two recital weekends. Countless balloons. Early mornings. Late nights. A whole lot of loading, unloading, setting up, tearing down, and praying everything survived the Charleston heat. ✨

I’m incredibly grateful to have been a small part of celebrating the talented dancers at @dancemoveschs + @dancemovesnexton and helping create spaces where families could capture these milestone moments.
Seeing dancers, families, and friends stop to take photos in front of something we created never gets old.

But the truth is, none of this happens alone.

To my family-❤️

Thank you for supporting every crazy idea, understanding the extra hours away, helping when needed, and always being my biggest cheerleaders. None of this would be possible without you.

And thank you to everyone who has booked, shared, referred, and supported Palmetto Popup. Your encouragement means the world to me.

Now it’s time to catch my breath, enjoy some family time, and get excited for what’s next. ✨

Are you ready?! Recital costumes are coming! 🎉

Starting this Monday, we will begin handing out all recital costumes in class.

Please make sure your dancer tries on their costume as soon as they receive it, just in case any alterations are needed.

Also, be sure you have all required tights and shoes ready for the big day on stage ✨

We can’t wait to see everyone shine! 💃

As Dance Moves of Charleston turns 24 this April, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on everything we’ve been able to accomplish with the incredible community that has supported us along the way. If it weren’t for every student, every family, and every teacher who has walked through our doors, the dream we once had would not have grown into two amazing studios.

At Dance Moves of Charleston, we are more than a studio — we are dance educators. We value not only teaching steps, but helping our students truly understand movement, artistry, and the confidence that dance can bring into every part of life.

Thank you for being part of our story for the last 24 years. Here’s to many more years of dancing together. 🤍

If you’re looking for a place that simply keeps your dancer busy, that’s not really our heart.

We are here to educate, mentor, and grow confident, disciplined, kind humans through the art of dance.

Technique matters but Character matters more. 🩷
