SATURDAY NIGHT AT LATINFEST 2026 🔥

Saturday night showcased some of the incredible talent within our dance community.

From professional artists who have dedicated years to their craft, to students sharing the stage alongside them, the performances were a celebration of passion, culture, creativity, and commitment.

Performance plays an important role in our industry. It inspires, preserves culture, brings communities together, and reminds us what is possible when we continue to learn, grow, and challenge ourselves.

LatinFest 2027 is coming.

Maybe next year you’ll be in the audience.
Maybe you’ll be on the dance floor.
Or maybe you’ll be on the stage.

@robindsouza.8 and I arrived in Australia the same year, and we met at The Night Cat in Melbourne during my third week living in Albury–Wodonga. I’d taken the train down because I missed dancing so much it actually hurt.
From the first dance I knew he was something special. Robin is a fabulous dancer and instructor—but an even better human being. He’s the director of @melbournemambo , and his teaching style is kind, clear, and firm, with a strong focus on technique without ever making it feel stiff.
We’ve shared some great adventures too—including seeing snow for the first time together in North East Victoria!
It’s the kind of teaching that makes you better while still keeping the joy in the dance.
So… what do you think?
Should we bring him up to Newy for some classes, or is it time for a Melbourne dance trip instead? 💃🕺

🌊 LatinFest Highlights 🌊

@luisahelena from @danceonnewy shares her favourite moments from the weekend 💃✨

We asked Helena Luisa to reflect on her LatinFest experience… and this is what stood out to her, all through her eyes.

We love hearing what makes LatinFest special for our artists and dance family 💛

Now it’s your turn…

🌊 LatinFest is Making Waves 🌊

If you haven’t shared your highlight yet, we’d love you to be part of it.

Send us a short, honest video of your favourite moment — and if you’re feeling creative, add a body wave, a hand wave, or any wave and say:

“LatinFest is Making Waves.” 🌊

Send it via WhatsApp to 0490 052 622 so we can include you in our community wave reel 💛

Let’s keep the waves flowing.
