I had so much fun performing my solo “Telephone” this season!

Thank you @integritywithmb for creating this dance for me and to you and @kellpuckett for believing in me, pushing me, helping me grow, and making dance so much fun. Thank you for every correction, every hug, and every time you helped me feel more confident on stage.

This solo was so special to me, and I loved getting to perform it.

Nationals Recap ✨

What an incredible week celebrating these three girls!!!! (And two of our KPDA tappers: Anna Currie and Alyssa- who were amazing!!)
It was my very first season choreographing solos for each of them, and getting to watch them grow into the dancers and young ladies they are today has been such a privilege.

To these three girls—and to KPDA—thank you for trusting me to be a small part of your journey. Watching you grow in and out of the studio is one of my greatest joys. I’m so proud of everything you’ve accomplished this season!!

None of this would be possible without KPDA being a space that fosters growth, connection, and a true sense of family. I’m so grateful to be part of a studio that believes in developing not only great dancers, but confident, kind, and resilient young people. I can’t wait to see what next season brings for all of you. 🫶

Love you all so much. Here’s to another amazing season. 🎉

Hadley – From struggling to nail your solo that very first week of choreography to making it look effortless on the national stage… you never stop amazing me. You always rise to the occasion, and every time you step on stage, you bring it to life. You were truly born to perform. Thank you for trusting me with your journey and for letting me have a front-row seat to your incredible growth

Romey – Girlfriend… have we had some FUN this season! Watching your confidence blossom, both in your performance and your technique, has been amazing. But what stands out the most is the teammate you’ve become. You celebrate everyone around you, put others before yourself, and have one of the kindest hearts I’ve ever seen. Thank you for letting me be one of your biggest cheerleaders!

Izzy- You overcame so much more than anyone will ever know. Stepping on stage and sharing such a vulnerable piece of your heart takes incredible courage, and I’m so thankful dance became a safe place for you to do that. You grew in every area this season—not just as a dancer, but as a person. I couldn’t be more proud of you, and I can’t wait to see where your journey takes you next.

✨What a week at Rising Star Nationals! ✨

Congratulations to every KPDA dancer who took the stage this week. Each of you walked away with incredible accomplishments, and we couldn’t be more proud of everything you achieved.

But the greatest victory wasn’t a trophy or a placement, it was the way you showed up for one another. From the loud cheers in the audience to the hugs backstage and the constant encouragement all week long, you reminded us what being part of the KPDA family is truly about.

The love and support these young ladies received from our dancers, parents, teachers, and families was something special to witness. We are proud to be part of a studio that celebrates each other’s successes just as much as our own!

Thank you, Rising Star, for providing such an incredible experience and creating memories our dancers will never forget.

Congratulations again to all of our KPDA dancers…we are so proud of you! ⭐

Rising Star Nationals

This weekend was so much more than dance. If you only looked at the pictures, you’d see crowns, trophies, judges awards, and two girls smiling from ear to ear.

But I see so much more than that.

I see years of hard work. I see missed weekends, long drives, exhausted car rides home, tears after competitions, practices where they left frustrated, and countless moments where they had to decide if they were going to keep going.

This weekend, both the girls earned:
Special Judges Awards
Platinum Scores
1st in their Category
National Champions
Miss Junior & Senior Titles
Best of the Best Showcase Winners

It literally feels like a dream!!

But the awards aren’t what made me cry.

Hadley has spent so much time wondering if she was good enough. If she could ever be as good as everyone else. As her mom, there is nothing sweeter than watching that little girl finally believe in herself. Seeing the confidence on her face this weekend meant more to me than any trophy ever could.

And then there’s Izzy. This past year hasn’t been easy. There were days when just getting through the day took everything she had. But she never quit. She kept showing up. She kept trusting the process, even when she couldn’t always see what was ahead. Hearing her name be called and watching her stand on that stage so happy… that smile hit differently.

The trophies will eventually get packed away. The crowns will come off. They will both just get back to work with new goals and new dreams!

But what these girls have learned through this journey, how to work hard, how to keep going when it’s hard, how to believe in themselves, and how to get back up after disappointment, that’s what they’ll carry with them forever.

Izzy and Hadley, I hope years from now you won’t remember the scores nearly as much as you remember how hard you worked to earn them.

You have always been enough. The trophies just happened to prove what I’ve known all along.

Being your mom is the greatest title I’ll ever have. Congrats girls, you are National Champions!!!!!

I’m proud of what they accomplished this weekend.

But I’m even more proud of who they’re becoming.
