dear dance,

it’s hard to believe after 15 years, i’m parting ways with this chapter of my life. it’s hard to wrap my head around how this was my last ever recital, i never would’ve thought this day would come. to say it’s bittersweet is an understatement. words can’t express how much im gonna miss this. dance has been such a constant outlet in my life and there’s no words to express how significant it played a part in my life, its truly been all i’ve ever known. i’ve gained a second home & family forever and i will forever cherish all the memories i’ve made throughout this journey. the biggest thank you to all my teachers, teammates, and family for the unconditional love and support. and thank you to my first love, dance, for building such a passion in me that i’ll carry throughout life and bringing the most amazing people into it.

It’s hard to believe that the recital I’ve been dreading is now over. After 12 years, I’ve officially danced my last one. It’s so difficult to put into words how much dance has meant to me all these years. This studio truly became my second home and all the girls became my family. Dance has been such a huge part of my life and I have no idea who I would be without it.

For the past 5 years especially, every time I stepped on stage I danced for my mom in heaven. She loved watching me dance, and ever since she passed I’ve carried her with me through every performance hoping to make her proud.

Thank you to my teachers, teammates, dad, and grandparents who’s been part of this journey. Thank you for the memories, the lessons, the love, and 12 unforgettable years doing what I love most. I’ll miss this more than words can explain. ❤️
