Five dancers. One team. And an opportunity I couldn’t pass up. 🖤✨

Five of my 14 spokesmodels are dancers at Dancers Edge, so when I had the chance to photograph them together downtown, I knew I wanted to do something a little different.

I love photographing movement, but there’s something especially beautiful about photographing dancers. The strength, flexibility, control, trust and artistry they bring to an image creates something completely different from a traditional portrait.

Watching these girls move through this together and seeing their personalities come through was such a fun part of this session. 🤍

One of my favorite things about being a senior photographer is finding the little pieces of who these girls are and incorporating those things into their senior experience.

And this image? It feels like them.

What a treat to reconnect with @kristin.daniel.choreo at Prodigy this weekend! Kristin choreographed group dances at my daughters’ home studio @dancersedgenc and a duet with both daughters for my daughter Mia’s senior year. Unfortunately, that was Covid year, and they only got to compete it twice. I mention Kristin in my book, The Recruitable Dancer, and I was thankful to be able to share a signed copy with her. Kristin’s choreography was special for my daughters in a tough year. I love seeing her well deserved success.

✨ First time ever falling in love with Jazz… all thanks to @autumncrockett_89 and I honestly can’t get enough. 🖤

No matter what the results are, I’m just so happy I got to experience this, push myself, and grow so much in such a short time.

This past month. and especially this last weekend — has taught me so much. My legs are STILL shaking from how nervous I was 😅, but underneath all that nervousness is so much happiness and gratitude for how far I’ve come.

This dance has challenged me, scared me, excited me, and made me want more.

So proud of this little piece of my journey. 🥹✨
Here’s to growth, to trying something new, and to falling completely in love with the process. 💃🏻❤️

Loved this dance so much 💙🔥 KZL ended the season at @goshowstopper Orlando Nationals with a Double Platinum, 1st in category and 13th overall… now K is off to college 🥹 So proud of my K and her Z and L #seniorszn #deyouknow #kamyajanae

when your juniors are locked in and eager to dance, you get passion, commitment, and true cohesion. I was very intentional while choreographing for this group, and that intentionality was reflected in the way these dancers showed up every single time they took the stage. so proud of this special group and their stellar season. ✨

Officially wrapping another dance season with my favorite girl. 💙✨

This season brought early mornings, late nights, road trips, coffee runs, quick dinners in the car, countless costume changes, hair and makeup, more bobby pins than I thought one family could own… and memories we’ll never forget.

It’s easy to see the performances. What people don’t always see are the hours behind the scenes— the commitment, the discipline, the teamwork, and the heart it takes to keep showing up.

Getting a front-row seat to watch my daughter grow into the person she’s becoming is one of the greatest gifts of motherhood. Watching her chase something she loves with determination, confidence, and joy makes every mile, every long day, and every cup of coffee worth it.

To my favorite little dancer: I’m so proud of you—not just for how you perform on stage, but for the kind, hardworking person you are off of it.

Here’s to another season of unforgettable memories… and to doing it all again next year. 💃🤍

I can’t even begin to comprehend how I am able to say that I am officially a DE alumni!! 💙🖤

Growing up at Dancers Edge has meant more to me than words can express from the very first day my mom walked me through those doors at 3 years old. It was never just a place where I learned to dance but it became my second home. Within those walls, I grew up, discovered who I was, and became the person I am today. DE has given me countless memories, lifelong friendships, valuable lessons, and experiences that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. No matter where life takes me, a piece of my heart will always belong there.

Thank you to all of my teachers, my sister, my parents, my friends, teammates, and my buddy for believing in me and always being there. Your love, encouragement, and support have carried me through every challenge and every success. I truly would not be where I am today without each and every one of you. Thank you for pushing me to be the best version of myself, celebrating every milestone, and reminding me to never give up on my dreams. I will be forever grateful for you all❤️
