🚨 NEW FILM RELEASE! 🚨 🎬 Excited to share that Magenta Edge Films has officially released the award-winning independent comedy GOOD SPORT, now available to RENT or BUY on digital platforms! Written and directed by Andrew Jack Zuckerman, @goodsportmovie is a wonderfully offbeat, hilarious, and heartfelt comedy that I first discovered at Dances With Films in 2025, where it won the Narrative Feature Audience Award. From the moment I saw it, I knew it was special. Its originality, sharp humor, and big heart represent exactly the kind of filmmaker-driven storytelling we created Magenta Edge Films to champion. 🏀 ABOUT THE FILM: A wildly unconventional basketball comedy filled with quirky characters, sideline chaos, and plenty of heart. Sometimes the biggest battles happen off the court! Following theatrical Q&A screenings in New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles, I'm thrilled audiences can now enjoy this wonderful film at home. I'm proud to have acquired GOOD SPORT and honored to serve as an Executive Producer, helping bring Andrew's vision to audiences. 👏 Congratulations and THANK YOU to Andrew, co-writer Dillon Orth, and the entire cast, crew, and producing team for trusting us with your film! Special thanks to @danceswithfilms for championing indie filmmakers and helping audiences discover original voices and stories. Festivals like DWF are vital to independent cinema, and I'm grateful our journey with GOOD SPORT began there! And thank you to Bob Yari and everyone at @magentalightstudios and @magentaedgefilms for their continued support of independent film! 💻 GOOD SPORT is NOW AVAILABLE to RENT or BUY on digital platforms! ⭐ Enjoy the film? Please rate and review it on IMDb, Letterboxd, or Rotten Tomatoes, and add it to your Letterboxd watchlist! Every rating and review helps independent films find new audiences. 🎬 Support independent film. Watch GOOD SPORT! #GoodSport #MagentaEdgeFilms #MagentaLightStudios #DancesWithFilms #IndependentFilm #IndieFilm #NowOnDigital

GODPOWER IS COMING HOME TO LAGOS for AFRIFF 🇳🇬 With AFRIFF 2026 just around the corner, I couldn’t be more excited to bring GODPOWER back to where it all began. In 1964, Bruce Brown filmed part of his legendary documentary The Endless Summer in Nigeria, a country with a surfing tradition stretching back generations. In a 2017 article, a young surf instructor named Godpower spoke about how The Endless Summer inspired him to start surfing. Then, in 2024, an Endless Summer T-shirt sparked my curiosity and led me to Tarkwa Bay, where I met Godpower. At the end of AFRIFF that year, I returned with my camera, with no idea what to expect. Godpower welcomed me into his world, bringing together his family, friends and neighbors, many acting for the very first time. Together, we created a film rooted in their lives and community. In a remarkable full-circle moment, Bruce Brown Films came aboard as executive producers. Since then, GODPOWER has introduced audiences to a side of Nigeria many never knew existed, won the Grand Jury Prize at Dances With Films in Los Angeles and received international press coverage. Now, two years later, we’re bringing the film back to AFRIFF, the very festival where this journey began. What excites me most is sharing it with Godpower, his family, friends and the people of Tarkwa Bay who made it possible. I can’t wait to sit alongside them and watch their story on the big screen. If you’re in Lagos for AFRIFF, November 1–7, come experience GODPOWER with us! A film born from a chance encounter, brought to life by a community, and now coming home. 🇳🇬 #AFRIFF2026 #GodpowerFilm #BruceBrownFilms #danceswithfilms #tarkwabay
