One year ago we decided to take a leap together as dance partners and officially launch KatyJosue. Somehow in just 365 days, this partnership has become so much more than we could have ever imagined.
•
This year, we traveled the world, shared our love for dance with so many beautiful communities, grew our performance teams, made lifelong friendships, performed our very first duet, signed with Sensual Movement, and created memories that we know we’ll carry with us forever.
•
But beyond the stages, the travels, the accomplishments, and the beautiful moments, we’re most grateful for the growth that happened behind the scenes.
•
But some of our most meaningful memories happened far away from the stage. They happened in the long training sessions.
In the late nights. In the moments when things didn’t go as planned. In the times we had to challenge each other, start again, and choose to keep growing.
•
Because this partnership has taught us that there is so much more to being dance partners than just dancing together.
•
It’s learning how to dream together.
How to support each other.
How to celebrate each other’s wins.
How to grow through the hard moments.
And how to keep choosing growth, even when it’s uncomfortable.
•
We know we still have so much to learn, and we hope we never stop. We will always continue training, studying, and seeking inspiration from the people around us—not just to become better dancers, but to become better teachers, mentors, and artists for the communities and students who trust us.

And to every single person who has been a part of this first year—thank you. To those who invited us into their communities, trusted us with their students, danced with us, trained with us, cheered for us, supported our teams, believed in our dreams, or simply encouraged us along the way… You are part of our story. 🤍

One year down. A lifetime of learning, dancing, growing, and giving back still ahead. Thank you for being part of our journey.

Here’s to us, to dance, and to everything we haven’t even dreamed of yet. 🤍✨

Recap of our Social Dance Elevation 3-hour intensive with Misa @dancewithmisa ✨

We had such a great time exploring ways to move beyond memorized combinations and bring more intention, control, connection, and musicality into our dancing.

Throughout the workshop, we explored concepts and techniques to help create a more dynamic experience with our partners — focusing not just on learning more patterns, but on developing tools that can change the way we approach social dancing.
