Kazbegi Skyrace. 16k/1300m. Late post, but it deserves one. Legs weren’t there from the start and I didn’t get the day I trained for, but I came away with the experience. The weekend belonged to my mom, who ran her first ever trail race (10k) and did it brilliantly.

As always, huge thanks to @mrctbilisi for the support and @traillabrace for the organization.

This Sunday is the final race of the season and probably the toughest: Lisi Trail Ultra, 63k/3000m. Buckled up for some tough shit.

PAIN IS TEMPORARY. BEER IS COLD. 🍺📣
Another Tbilisi Marathon, another MRC support station.
There still aren’t many spectators along the course — so every year we bring our own noise.

We come for our runners, of course. But once you’re out there, there are no “ours” and “theirs”. We cheer for everyone who runs past.

Signs up. Vuvuzelas out. High fives, screaming, clapping, cold beer — and a lot of familiar faces appearing in the crowd.

To everyone who ran today: you were incredible. 🦸
And to everyone who came early, carried things, made signs, brought beer, shouted themselves hoarse, took photos and videos, handed out high fives and stayed until the last runners passed — thank you. ❤️‍🔥

This is what a running community looks like from the other side of the course.

See you at the next one!

We’ll think of something even louder.

Kazbegi Mountain Marathon 2026 ⛰️

Some came to race. Some came to survive the climbs.
Somewhere between the mud, rocks, river crossings, poles, questionable life choices and the finish line — we had a pretty good day in the mountains.

And a fast one.
🏆 Fira @firuzasakhapova — 1st female, Extreme
🏆 Val @immalkou — 1st male, Extreme
🏆 Aleks @alex_kobilev — 3rd male, FunRun

Two Extreme wins for MRC Tbilisi — but the podium is only part of the story.

The rest is in these photos: people finding each other on the course, waiting at the finish, hugging, laughing, hurting, recovering — and already knowing we’ll somehow do this again.

Because trail running was never only about getting there first. It’s about having your people there when you do.

Need people for your next questionable mountain decision? You know where to find us.

To my favorite people ❤️ @mrctbilisi
After my finish at Mestia Ultra Race by @traillabrace I wanted to cheer on our guys and capture them crushing it. One of the most cherished memories from the race 🫶🏻

Another unforgettable weekend in Svaneti. From first trail races to 100K ultras, the MRC Tbilisi crew showed up with courage, determination, and endless support for one another.

This year, MRC Tbilisi had the largest team at Mestia Ultra 2026! We had 50 runners on the start line:

4 brave souls on the brutal 100K
4 on the 70K
20 marathoners
13 on the classic Trail
9 runners rocking the FunRun.

Huge congratulations to our podium finishers and top-10 results:

🥇 @firuzasakhapova - 1st woman overall, 100K (15:44:05)
🥈 @immalkou - 2nd man overall, 100K (16:35:26)
🥉 @alt.morozov - 3rd man overall, 70K (10:31:59)
⭐ @vvrubel - 5th woman overall, Marathon (6:47:13)
⭐ @pavel.yes - 6th man overall, 70K (11:24:24)
⭐ @romanabuldynskaia - 6th woman overall, Trail (2:43:46)
⭐ @leosvalov - 9th man overall, Trail (2:24:06).

But weekends like this are about more than results. They’re about early starts, long climbs, high altitude, heavy rain, tired legs, finish-line hugs, and the community that makes every single kilometre feel shared.

Whether it was your 1st or 100th kilometer this weekend - you are heroes. ♥️

See you on the trails. ⛰️

There are races. And then there are places you keep coming back to. Places where every climb is earned, every descent feels alive, and familiar faces somehow make the mountains feel like home.

In one week, Mestia Ultra by @traillabrace begins again.

Good luck to everyone heading to Svaneti. See you in the mountains. 🏔️

The first Saturday of the month means one thing: it’s time to bring the whole crew together again.

Whether you’ve been running with us every day / week or it’s been a while since your last club run, we’d love to see you back at Seven Roads @sevenroads.tbi!

If you've been thinking about joining MRC Tbilisi but haven't made it to a club run yet, this is the perfect one to start. There will be groups for every pace, and you'll definitely find someone to run with.

Choose your distance: 5, 8 or 12 km, - find your pace, catch up with friends, meet new faces, and finish the run with our traditional isotonic drink and birthday celebrations.

See you on the first Saturday of the month!
