I wanted to take a break from the posts to thank everyone who helped me get here. I could not be more thankful of all the love and support given to me to attend this dream of mine. A big thank you to @dancing_angels_foundation for their generous scholarship and everyone that either bought coffee from my fundraiser, or gave direct money. It all means so much and I wouldn’t be able to grow as much as I have this summer. Thank you so much!!
.
Also a shoutout to my studio @paregionalballet for the amazing training that got me to this intensive at @houstonballetacademy !! I’ll see you all soon and I can’t wait to catch up!

☀️ Summer Spotlight | Kayla Ferguson ☀️

This summer, Kayla Ferguson is attending the University of North Carolina School of the Arts (UNCSA) Contemporary Summer Program! Through the Regional Dance America Online Scholarship & Recruitment Process, Kayla received multiple summer intensive acceptances and scholarship offers, including her opportunity to attend UNCSA. She was also awarded a scholarship through the Dancing Angels Foundation. We are incredibly proud of Kayla and all that she has accomplished!

“I am grateful for the opportunity to attend UNCSA’s Contemporary Summer Dance Intensive! Thank you so much to RDA, the Dancing Angels Foundation, and the Appalachian Ballet Company for helping me continue to grow my passion for dancing.” – Kayla

We are excited to welcome Kayla back to the studio and see how she continues to grow as a movement artist while sharing her passion for dance with our community. Please join us in congratulating Kayla and wishing her merde for the season ahead!

We are incredibly grateful for RDA and the many opportunities it provides our dancers each year. Stay tuned for more Summer Spotlights! 🤍

Happy 4th of July from all of us at Coast x Coast! 🇺🇸🎇

As we watch the fireworks and celebrate American independence, we celebrate remember and honor the special operators who have stood on the front lines to defend it.

We carry the memory of our fallen with us in our celebrations, and we stand proudly beside those who have returned home.

Stay rad and let freedom ring! 🇺🇸

Over the years we have collected so many memories during the annual Ride for the Fallen, while we celebrated, remembered and honored the fallen. We raised money to help heal the invisible wounds of war for special operation veterans and their families.

While we are postponing this year’s ride, we are focusing on moving forward with CXC, restructuring and strengthening as a foundation so that we can continue to help as many veterans as we can for the long haul.

As we move forward, we hold dear the memories of how all this all started, the journey up until now, and everyone who played a part in that.

Our rides will continue on, bigger and better and so will we🇺🇸

Thank you all for all of your continued support and love 🫶

CXC Executive Director Joe Mooney talks with Dr Eisenmann (@thebrainfluencer ) from the @resiliency_brain_health about veteran mental health and brain health.

Joe talks about the loss of community when veterans leave service and how that can be dangerous. The most dangerous part of leaving the military isn’t just the transition—it’s the loss of community.

When you combine that isolation with the weight of physical injuries and TBIs, that can place the veteran in an incredibly dangerous position.
We need to check on our people. Isolation is the real enemy.

Today is not just about backyard barbecues or the official start of summer. It’s about a debt that can never fully be repaid.

On Memorial Day, we stop to honor the ultimate sacrifice made by our heroes. But for many of our Special Operations veterans who made it home, the battle didn’t end. The invisible wounds of war continue to take a heavy toll every single day.

True honoring means action. We don’t just remember their sacrifice; we commit to fighting for their recovery.

Through our several different partner organizations, we are helping special operations veterans rebuild their brains, reclaim their lives, and find a path forward.

This Memorial Day, let’s honor the fallen by taking care of the living 🇺🇸

Visit our website at CXCfoundation.org to donate today and find out how we are using your donations to heal the invisible wounds of war.
