Sleeping Beauty!!! 🌸👑💖
It was so incredible to see @orlandoballet ‘s season opener of Sleeping Beauty this past weekend! I was in awe at all of the beautiful artistry, costumes, and technique despite the challenging choreography and loved getting to see some of my friends on stage! (biggest congrats to all 🫶) I’ve missed seeing Orlando Ballet perform and I’m so grateful to have experienced this show, especially with my OBS friends. Can’t wait to watch the rest of the season!!

One sister dreams of being a ballerina… the other wants to be a D1 college dancer. 🔥

And that means I don’t train them exactly the same.

I teach my dancers according to who THEY are and what THEY want to accomplish. These two are sisters with completely different goals—and their turn training should reflect that.

🔥 D1 COLLEGE DANCE:
Watch a D1 team at UDA Nationals and you’ll see powerful fouetté and à la seconde sequences that travel, change directions and move FAST. The lower body becomes an engine that drives through demanding choreography. You may see lower relevés, parallel preps, lightning-fast whipping action and an emphasis on synchronization, speed and power.

🩰 BALLET:
A ballet dancer is working toward a completely different quality—the sensation of floating and lifting away from the floor. You’ll see higher relevés, strict turnout, turned-out preparations, fluidity, rhythm and individual artistry.

Neither one is “better.” They’re different goals that require different training.

Both are incredibly difficult. Both require YEARS of discipline, strength and hard work. ❤️

My job as a coach isn’t to make every dancer turn the same.

✨ When your technique is this solid… the possibilities are endless. 🤯

Ainsley makes the hard look effortless.

My first goal is always to help a dancer hit 4 floats. Once they own that, we build quantity. Then comes the real challenge… 👀

➡️ Add reverse changing spots to every float.

Ainsley crushed that, so naturally I had to level her up again.

This time? Officially a @rockschooldance graduate! I am filled with nothing but love and gratitude for my time here. The two years I have spent training here will forever hold a special place in my heart. I am so grateful for every person I met, and for all the memories we have created together.

I would like to thank each teacher and staff member who helped me, both in and out ballet. Being at the Rock has been one of the most exciting journeys I have ever been on, and it would not have been possible without the incredible faculty who shaped me over the past two years.

Thank you to all my friends who were with me through the good and bad times. I don’t know how I would have survived this year without you guys. Thank you truly for everything. I am going to miss you all tremendously, but cannot wait to see what the future holds for you guys!

Lastly, thank you to my family for always supporting me and my ballerina dreams 🩰. I am so grateful for your sacrifices, and the love you have given me.

I cannot wait to see what the future holds; all I know is that the rest is still unwritten…

Last weekend, i had my last performance with @rockschooldance , it was bittersweet but i couldn’t be more grateful! ❤️‍🩹
I wanted to start by thanking Mr. Stark and all the faculty members for all the dedication, time, patience they had with me from the beginning. I feel that I have learned a lot from everyone in these last 2 and a half years. ♥️
And a special thank you, to all my friends who welcomed me from the beginning! I thought it would be really hard to enter a new place, without knowing anyone, in the middle of the school year and without being in my native language, but you made it much easier and more fun! i’m so grateful for the laughter before classes and rehearsals, and for the all moments we had together!
And thank you for also making the dorms much more fun and more like home with laughter, jokes, movies and everything! 🤍

i’ll miss everyone and i love you all so much! 🥹💕
