Celebrating the work of KŌWĀ at the @nahokuhanohanoawards ⭐️ Mahalo @izikfamous for trusting me to design KŌWĀʻs album cover. The way time is decorated so beautifully in the presence in your music, I’m honored to contribute my craft to match what is already such an embellishment to our ears. Also a huge congratulations to the fabulous trio @eineimusic on their well deserved wins! Mahalo for allowing me to contribute to Hawai’i Forever’s cover as well. Part 2 of 2 Aloha gangy, our celebration of love has come to a close and I’m so excited to commemorate this journey celebrating #BlackHistoryMonth! Honored to share my first reggae song in this collab with my brada/boss man, @calvin.canha @drumwise_ ! SLAVE QUEEN is now available on ALL STREAMING AND FOR PURCHASE! A song written by thee Judy Mowatt. This cover is a TRIBUTE to the I-THREES, an ANTHEM for WOMEN and a SONG of RESISTANCE 🔥 This is my mahalo to #BlackExcellence in #BlackCulture as it has inspired and influenced so much of the foundation of how I use my voice. I will forever be grateful to the artists who have paved the way and laid the blueprint in the arts for the world to witness! While also tying in my identity as Hawaiian and honoring the influence that reggae music has left here in Hawai‘i. This song is my humble offering to pay homage to the people who have given us so much here in the Hawai‘i music industry. Aloha gang! Well, it took a literal 10 years but my baby is out in the world to be shared with all of you. Thank you for all the love you guys have shown me on my previous post, even if you didn’t watch the whole video, thank you for indulging me and listening to me yap for 13 minutes lol It may sound so dramatic to some people but this song is truly so special to me. I’ve been so protective over her for all these years because it truly means so much to me. It’ll be one of the best songs I will ever write and record for the rest of my life. Much of that is due to @izikfamous 💙 I love you forever bu. Thank you for this gift that has fed me and will continue to feed me. Thank you for making me feel the prettiest that I have ever felt on camera. You literally have given of yourself to this song from conception to completion. 🙏🏽 Thank you to one of my goddesses, my supreme leader and inventor of art, @caitytully for taking these photos and working with me to create the exact cover art I had dreamed of for this release. Love you sissy. ✨💕 Thank you my sis @jroq for providing the heartbeat for this song to live. You supported me from its beginning to its “end” all these years later, love you JenniRose. 🩵💚 Thank you bubu @iamdrescot for lending me your voice and making time to do so. It had to be “the trifecta” for vocals on this. I love you babe. 🖤 To my boss man, @calvin.canha @calvin.canha , mahalo of the biggest nui you frikkin hammah. Thank you for dealing with my crazy picky ass in the studio. You really built and shaped the rest of the song in the places that I was unsure and would doubt myself in what we should do. You for real wen ho’onaninani her and beat her mug TO FILTH. Love you big, brah! 🧡 (Cont)……
