⭐️ Our full interview, dance, and feedback ⭐️

This was such an amazing experience, and I am so happy and proud of the work we put in. We didn’t walk away with any hardware, but the fulfillment I feel after all this is over is more than anything. I am SO glad that I was given this opportunity, and I truly went full force and dedicated myself to learning and performing. I have a whole new appreciation for Ballroom & Latin Dance, this was NOT easy but I loved every second of it. So much so, I’m back in the studio in 2 days to continue learning 💃

To my partner & instructor Owen, I am so thankful and grateful for your guidance & patience with me. I know I’m a bit of a wild card and probably got on your nerves several times 🤪 but, I truly couldn’t have asked for a better partner, and I couldn’t imagine doing this with anybody else. I hope I made you proud, and SO excited to continue learning with you. 💃

And to ERRYONEEEEEE who watched at home (seriously I had no idea I was loved by that many) you all made my heart bursts. The check ins, the hype texts, the constant support, and everything in between. I hope I made you all proud and gave you some entertainment! 💃

Dancing with the Lexington Stars may be over, but my dance training is just beginning. Thank you Arthur Murray Dance Studio for coming into my life!!! 💃

POV ; you try something new and fall in love with learning.

Tomorrow is the big day that our hard work gets to be showcased. Regardless of placements, awards, recognition, ect., this has been such a fun filled experience that I put my all into. And crazy enough, today was our “last” lesson. And I may or may not have booked more lessons for when tomorrow is over. I’ve had too much fun to stop now. 💃

2 days until the @dancinglexstars fundraiser to support @babyhealthservice and @rotarylexky 🫶 the week leading up has been full of dancing, forgetting to eat, last minute costume tweaks, and a few nerves.
👯‍♀️But mostly, it has been seeing, feeling, and hearing my truest friends step up to support me, cherish me, and love me. To my besties- each and every one of you who have donated, texted, shopped with me, cried with me and reminded me that I AM ENOUGH (and sometimes to eat) even when I make mistakes, thank you! Here’s to many more Adventures, lots more Joy, building our Community, and continued Contribution!

Thank you to Baby Health Executive Board Member Ann-Phillips Mayfield for sharing the mission and history of Baby Health Service in this LEX18 spotlight ahead of Dancing with the Lexington Stars this weekend.

Since 1914, Baby Health Service has worked to care for uninsured children in our community — and support from events like this helps make that care possible every day.

A major thank you to the Rotary Club of Lexington for putting on Dancing with the Lexington Stars and for supporting organizations making a difference in our community! We’re honored to be this year’s featured beneficiary. ✨

🤩$30,000 raised for @rotarylexky and @babyhealthservice feels CRAZY to me.
💃The past 6 months have flown by between dance lessons, social media outreach, networking, and constant emails to raise money.🙏I am so excited for the coming weeks when I will begin thanking each and every one of the dozens of people and businesses who have so generously supported this amazing cause.
🫶There are only 4 days to go, and I’d love to see the impact of votes continue to push us beyond what we thought was possible.
🗳️Vote for me, any $5 increment will help support charitable giving right here, in Lexington. Link to vote in bio.

NEW EPISODE ALERT 🎙️✨

This week on Small Business Bestie, I sat down with one of the most fascinating humans I’ve met in Lexington — Chip Sebastian. And let me tell you… this conversation goes EVERYWHERE in the best possible way. 😂

We talked about:
🕺 Dancing with the Lexington Stars
🥋 Real self-defense training for women
✍️ Writing, publishing, and creative life
🎭 Theater, film, martial arts, massage therapy & entrepreneurship
💭 The commercialization of wellness culture
💡 What it really means to dedicate your life to a craft

Chip is truly a Renaissance man, and this episode is packed with stories, wisdom, laughs, and a whole lot of heart. One minute we’re talking about poetry and Philip Glass… the next we’re discussing why women deserve self-defense training that actually prepares them for real life situations.

Honestly? This one feels less like an interview and more like sitting in on a really good conversation between friends. And those are my favorite kinds of episodes. 💛

If you’ve ever:
✨ reinvented yourself
✨ pursued multiple passions
✨ wanted to feel more confident in your body
✨ or wondered how to build a meaningful life doing what you love…

…you’re going to LOVE this episode.

It’s Taylor Swift Day, so it only felt right to say…

“Hi, the old Michelle can’t come to the phone right now. Why? Oh… because she’s dancing to support Lexington.” ✨

She’s stepping onto the dance floor for Dancing with the Lexington Stars to support Baby Health Service and the Rotary Club of Lexington Charitable Fund — helping care for uninsured children and investing back into our local community.

Vote for Michelle. Donate if you can. And help us raise more than just the roof — let’s raise hope. 💛
