Apollo Circle Benefit 2026 ⭐️ My second as Co-Chair and our most successful fundraiser in the group’s 29 year history. This community means so much to me, brings me endless joy, and has given me some of my closest friends. Big thank you to my Co-Chair @guineveresherrill for being so positive, @amarkopoulos for her leadership, and to my life long New Yorker, @ripton_rosen for being so fun. Thanks for working with me, Fran. You text me: “want to cut hair?” I counter with PR, naturally. Your whole gallery was a story, the neighborhood story. Where I’d made friends before I was emailing editors. So we stuff nymag in there between styling chairs (a popup salon, only you). The piece runs across print, web, socials. You’re nowhere to be found. No portrait, not even a “Francisco” for the SEO. But that was Lubov in a nutshell. Your spread of creative misfits filling pages. Could’ve been a book really. We are legion. I am Spartacus!! You got it, of course. Everywhere they looked, there you were.

Step into ‘James Jarvaise & Henry Taylor. Sometimes a straight line has to be crooked,’ currently on view at our📍Zurich, Limmatstrasse gallery.

Bringing together the work of @chinatowntaylor in dialogue with that of his teacher, California modernist James Jarvaise (1924 – 2015), the exhibition features over seven decades of works that explore the artists’ mutual interest in the figure and landscape. 🔗 Link in bio to plan your visit.

Music to My Intern’s Ears

My first time back in Basel since 2023 - I forgot how wonderful it is. Floating down the Rhine on route to delicious dinners surrounded by friends and family and friends who have become like family. So much excellent art to see! And a fair where everybody actually wants to chat about the art.

@liste_art_fair_basel was fun with so many good pieces. @adrianschachter at @amanita.ny was my highlight. The sunshine helped spread joy as did @basel.social.club organized by @robbie_fitzpatrick_ , which is the coolest project ever. I saw Robin S perform and chose between drinking “blood”, “sweat” or “tears”at Nick Doyle’s bar @nickdoyle333 Bobby Jesus also showed me the most intricate carvings into a pencil. @therealbobbyjesus

Other highlights include @julian.charriere’s Warehouse Artefacts / if you’re in Basel go on Saturday night for what will truly be a transcedental experience. Also @cao_fei’s show was historic and vivid with a ball pond to top it off. Trevor Paglen @trevorpaglen curated the 0 10 section of art Basel and through a mix of contemporary and historic references, he created a thoughtful and detailed story of digital and algorithmic art.

@chloewise_ is a legend with a new exhibition and film @kbhgeiger that is out of this world (pun intended). It is an absolute must-see for everybody with language and imagery that is so wonderfully witty and of our era and just so chloe! It truly was an ideal pebble in a perfect pond. Who wouldn’t want that?

All in all - I am leaving feeling warm, satisfied, excited, and inspired. Not bad for a few days. #tiflovesart

What comes to mind when I think of the Bronx Museum? COMMUNITY!

As a Co-Chair of this year’s Gala and a Trustee of the Museum, I couldn’t be more proud of what we created together - a night that truly reflected the spirit, energy, and purpose of this institution. From the room filled with artists, patrons, and friends, to the support behind our mission, it was an incredibly special evening and one I’ll never forget.

I’m deeply grateful to play a role in helping champion this work and to be a part of a museum that means so much to so many. Endless appreciation for this community and our honorees @awolerizku, Lois Plehn, and @kidsuper.
