Jeremy Bradshaw | Cinnamon Twist Bronze 44 x 36 x 34 in Jeremy Bradshaw | Cinnamon Roll Bronze 18 x 23 x 23 in ——— Fall is one of the best times to spot bears in Jackson Hole. As the days grow shorter, grizzlies and black bears enter hyperphagia, a period of near-constant eating as they prepare for winter. Along roadsides and river bottoms, they forage for hawthorn and chokecherries, while on the hillsides, they dig for roots beneath the changing landscape. This time of year, bears are a familiar and captivating presence in the valley. Through paintings and sculpture by our artists, we celebrate these remarkable animals and the wild landscapes they call home, captured in all their strength, character, and beauty. Patricia A. Some images from this year’s Pilchuck x Berlin Glas. E.V. international exchange, sponsored by Alexander Tutsek-Stiftung!   As part of this new and exciting cultural exchange, during Session 1 this year, Alexander Tutsek-Stiftung sponsored Berlin-based artist Alan Horsley to visit Pilchuck and teach his kiln-forming and kiln-casting workshop, “Translating Form.”   This month, local artist Dan Friday was also sponsored by Alexander Tutsek-Stiftung to travel to Germany for a residency and to lead “Cane Making & Roll-Ups: Building Personal Language in Hot Glass” at Berlin Glass.   We are so grateful to Alexander Tutsek-Stiftung and Berlin Glass for making this exchange possible! This program is just one example of how Pilchuck continues to be an international campus and a place for cultural and creative exchange.    #pilchuckglassschool #alexandertutsekstiftung #berlinglass #glassart #internationalexchange
