I made Firework Kiss for little me. For the kid who grew up wishing they could see a story like this on screen. Claudita, your dream came true! Here’s some BTS from our shoot <3

This movie would not exist without so many incredible people:

A huge thank you to @womeninfilmla for fiscally sponsoring Firework Kiss and helping us create a way for people to support this project. We were able to create magic and untold stories thanks to you!

To my wife, @deanna_es , executive producer, costume designer, partner, and the person without whom truly NONE of this would have been possible. I love you.

To the producers and DP, @tort_ellin_i and @dangerhuman , thank you for helping me bring this story to life.

To @karularu , our production designer, for taking the world that existed in my head and making it real.

To @ashleymonti , our editor, who is currently cutting this film and is piecing together all the beautiful things we captured.

To @harriscanals , thank you for always being there.

To my parents and my sister, @liccvazquez , @javiergavinorivera y @mooo.pr , thank you for ALWAYS showing up.

To @bernicecollazo , your generosity made this possible.

To the crew, thank you for saying yes!

To Alexandra and Sadie, thank you for taking such good care of these characters. You gave them hearts. And to their parents: thank you for supporting them and trusting us.

And finally, to every person who donated, shared, showed up, encouraged us, or believed in this film, thank you. Truly.

This is only the beginning. 💗✨

We created the distorted face in “My Affection” by filming through a fishbowl full of water. @janiquette had the original idea, then @zogra.scope painstakingly tested it out. I, however, didn’t spill a drop.
