Wow, what a beautiful and BUSY Saturday! We started the day with midday margaritas — NOT midnight margaritas! 😂🍹 — watching Practical Magic with my Witches, Mama and Monica! 🧙‍♀️✨

I honestly can’t remember the last time it was just the three of us together. Monica said it’s been 18 years… because that’s how old the kids are now! 😂 🤦🏻‍♀️

The movie was so good, but honestly, it was even better because of the company. I just love my familia; being together, laughing, reminiscing, and making new memories. 🫶🏼🧙‍♀️❤️

Then I ended the night with some much-needed time with Adrienne at my first Vaquero game! 🤠🏈 🍒

Since I couldn’t be in San Marcos supporting Ana 😢 I’m so glad I came to this game! It was a blast! We ran into SO many people, took a few pics. There was tailgating everywhere, food, cocktails, music, and just such an amazing atmosphere! And the best part… THE VAQUEROS WON! 🙌🏼🤠🏈

It was so beautiful to see so many people come out to support the football players, the drill team, the dance team, the band, and the entire Vaquero community. It was incredible! 🤩

And it’s hard to believe that just a few years ago, none of this even existed for us down here. Seeing it all come together and watching the community embrace it was pretty special 🧡

✨ And she’s off...

I took a little break from social media, but I’m back. I’ll be sharing all of Ana’s graduation and senior year celebrations soon 🤦🏻‍♀️

But today... today we dropped @ana.v.alanis off in San Marcos to begin her journey at Texas State University. She headed up a little earlier than most of the incoming freshmen because Strutter practices have already begun.

We had such a fun summer! We laughed, made memories, checked off all of our favorite things, and I made sure she enjoyed every one of her favorite meals before she left. There was lots of dorm shopping, countless trips, and today was so much fun putting her new little home together. She was able to say goodbye to some of you, and to those she didn’t get to see before she left, we’re so sorry she missed you. 😔 Please know you were in her heart, too.

18 years ago, I became a mom to my favorite daughter 😉 My greatest hope was to raise a kind, strong, independent young woman. Today, as hard as it was to drive away, I realized that dream has come true. I know you’re going to be just fine.

Of course, I left a piece of my heart in San Marcos today. But no matter where life takes you, you’ll always be a part of me.
