LMI 5th Edition

The most special 10 days with the most special people.

There is something so magical about an experience that can be simultaneously so challenging yet fulfilling. LMI was filled with so much of that magic.

Forever inspired by the amazing humans I had the privilege of sharing this space with. To be surrounded by so much kindness and talent is such a blessing.

To @juliaspiesser @michaelnaylor53 @emmastansall @jerryreeve thank you for taking the time to get to know each of us, I am so honoured to have gotten to learn for from you all.

Thank you, @lukas_mcfarlane a thousand times over, for sharing your passion and creating something that is so unforgettable.

This experience was about so much more than just dance for me, and that is something I will forever be grateful for.

Also, many thanks to @zoonationdancespace for one of the most beautiful locations to learn and do what I love most in.

And to the cast… you are all SO inspiring, and it was truly a blessing to dance beside you each day. I could not imagine training, laughing, and sharing space in the way that we did with anyone else. Thank you for being the best and most supportive humans ever.

Our Accel Intensive was filled with four incredible nights of dancing, learning, and growing! From so many amazing guest teachers to a wide variety of classes, every night brought something new and our team had the BEST time.

We're so proud of our dancers for stepping outside their comfort zones, working hard, supporting one another, and soaking up every opportunity to learn.

A huge thank you to all of our incredible teachers for sharing your knowledge and inspiring our dancers. We can't wait for an amazing season ahead!

CY5, I’ve been prolonging this post cause I honestly don’t know how to put my feelings into words. You have all inspired me so much and have brought my love for dance back. The community that you all created at cli made me feel more than supported and pushed me to be better. I love all of you so much and I am beyond grateful for the many connections I have made in these 10 months.

@teddyforance you have done so much for me and have supported me since day 1. I couldn’t have done this without your love and support. The care that you hold for every student is so special and wholesome. You have pushed me out of my comfort zone for the better making me feel more confident and happy while dancing. I am so grateful to get to call you a mentor and start a career thanks to you.
To all the staff at cli I have fell in love with each and everyone of you and you have all helped me become the dancer I’ve been itching to become. Thank you cli for the best experience of a lifetime I will miss it but onto the next chapter! 🥹🥹 @cliconservatory

Still trying to find the words for the hardest, but best 10 months of my life. Walking into CLI I thought the only thing that would change about me was my dancing, but I walked out a person that finally fully knows and loves herself and found confidence in places I didn’t know lacked.

@teddyforance I thank God everyday that you had a dream and vision that you fought so hard to bring to life. Getting to be just a small part of that dream, changed my life. Your drive and passion for this art inspires me everyday to keep fighting for my own dreams. I don’t have enough words to express the gratitude I have that I got to step into your studio. Your energy and fight you brought to every room pushed me past limits and truly showed me what I was capable of. Thank you for sharing your love of dance and wanting the best for every single person that walked through the door.

To all the faculty-
Getting to learn steps, wisdom, and knowledge from each one of you every week changed my perspective on not only dance, but life. The love and support you showed me got me through some of the toughest days here. To my sweet friends-
As the weeks went by, I realized you guys taught me how to be a better person, pushed me through the exhaustion and pain, supported me in the lows and highs, and showed me a sense of community I didn’t know existed.
The late nights, crash outs, laughing till we cry, dancing side by side, and the friendships I have made has overflowed my cup. The genuine support and love we have showed eachother is how we got through this program. I’m so blessed to have so many people to cheer for and watch how far you go in life. I love you guys BIG❤️‍🔥

CY5 forever…

Two years ago, I had no intention of becoming a professional dancer. I applied to CLI on a whim, just to see what would happen. When I committed, I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I walked through those studio doors for the first time unsure of myself, wondering if I had made the right decision.

Ten months later, I can confidently say that I’ve grown in ways I never expected. I can walk into a hip hop class without being afraid of judgment and actually enjoy it, I hear music differently, and I’ve learned how important breathing is.

I came for the training, but I left with so much more than that. Ten months ago, I was surrounded by 280 strangers. Today, I call them family. The community I found here is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced, and I will carry it with me forever.

One of my biggest takeaways from this year is learning that I’m far more capable than I ever thought. Being away from home gave me the chance to discover who I could become, and that’s the greatest gift this experience could have given me.

I think it’s safe to say that 13-year-old Kai would never have believed the life she’s living now. Take the risk, it might end up changing your life.

@teddyforance thank you for having a dream, and for allowing me to be a small part of it.

Eternally grateful.
A piece of my heart will forever be in Southampton Massachusetts.

Well… that’s a wrap on CY5. Somehow it feels like we just got here, and somehow we made enough memories to last a lifetime. To every teacher who believed in me, challenged me, and helped me grow into the artist I’m becoming, thank you.
A special thank you to @teddyforance. Thank you for taking a chance on me. You saw something in me before I fully saw it in myself, and I’ll never stop being grateful for that. I truly don’t know where I’d be without you. 🤍And to every friend I met along the way thanks for making this year one I’ll never stop talking about. Bittersweet doesn’t even begin to cover it, but I’m so excited to spend the summer here as an assistant and keep making memories before we all go chase our dreams.
I already can’t wait for the day we’re all back together, catching up like no time has passed. ❤️

How did 10 months go by so fast??
There is truly nothing like this place. CLI has not only taught me so much and given me a second home, but it brought me to my best friends in the world and reminded me how much I love dance.

Thank you @teddyforance for creating such an inspiring place for us to learn who we are and become the dancers we want to be. You have had such a strong impact on the way I dance and I will forever be grateful for all that you do!
Thank you @nichols14 for constantly reminding us of our worth and sharing all of the knowledge that I will carry with me forever!
Thank you @riileywaatts for showing me how fun ballet can be and guiding me through every improv class. You have the kindest heart!
