World mental health day 2026. For this world mental health day I wanted to talk about one of my biggest healthy coping strategies and that is classes at @thelatenightcircus . Having this space allows me to express myself, exercise and also just be. I will be forever grateful to @daniclemi for the creation of TLNC and persuading me to start aerial hoop (and for everything else).

The workshops are obviously a huge part of Cabaret Camp, but it’s never really just about learning a new skill.

It’s trying something you’ve never done before.
Being absolutely shit at something and laughing about it.

Realising you’re actually quite good at something you never expected.

Learning from and with brilliant performers you might never normally get the chance to work with.

No pressure to be perfect. No competing. Just a field full of performers having a go, learning from each other and spending a weekend doing the things we love.

Last photo dumb from Empress Hair Salon🥰

Didn’t want to leave any of these pics in the archives

What beautiful hair, flowers and memories 🥹✨

Shop is empty and keys are getting handed over next week🥺 that’s a wrap!
feels very surreal still, I’m looking forward to the future and so so grateful I got the opportunity to have the salon and share it with you all! 🥰
On the plus side the new salon has a light and a closing door in the toilet unlike mine HAHAH😅😂

See you at @sunflower.saloon 🌻🤠🪩

I've been trying to think about what I wanted to say because thank you doesn't really feel enough.

When I first had the idea for Camp, it wasn't because I wanted to create another event. We already have so many brilliant events in our industry. I love them. They've given me friendships, opportunities and some of the best memories of my life.

But over the years I realised something.

As performers, we're nearly always 'on'. Introducing ourselves by our stage names, networking, talking about acts, bookings, costumes and the next project. I love that because we're all so passionate about what we do.

I just wondered what would happen if we created a space where all of that could exist... but where it didn't HAVE to.

Where you could still learn from incredible teachers, watch unique shows under the stars and meet amazing people, but the biggest thing you took home wasn't a new routine or booking... it was genuine friendships and some space to just be you, away from all the noise.

Looking around this weekend, I kept catching little moments that nobody else probably noticed. People sitting outside chatting for hours. Someone quietly encouraging another person before a class. Camp chairs pulled into circles. New friendships forming without anybody even realising it was happening.

That was Camp.

Of course the workshops were incredible. The shows were everything I'd hoped they'd be. Watching world-class performers in the middle of a field as the sun disappeared was genuinely indescribable.

But for me, the magic was always in everything happening around those moments.

The conversations. The laughter. The connections.

The feeling that, for one weekend, nobody had to prove anything.

You could just be YOU.

Thank you for trusting an idea that only existed in my head not that long ago. Thank you for embracing it exactly as I'd hoped, and for reminding me that sometimes the most important thing we can create isn't a show.

It's a space where people feel like they belong.

If that's how even one person felt this weekend, then every sleepless night, every wobble and every bit of hard work was worth it.

From the bottom of my heart... thank you. ❤️

I can barely believe it’s May already, this year is flying by.
It also means I’ll be back filming @k.e.n_hull at the end of the month! Easily one of my favourite events of the year, and always a spectacular line up.
Make sure to grab your tickets, it’s the 10 year anniversary of this show, so it’s a big one!

Trying my hand at basing at open circus practise at @thelatenightcircus 😁

Is it smooth or polished? No and no. But that's not the point. It's something new I've not done much of before and the best fun you can have with your pals 🥰

Weekly recap w/c 27/04/2027
Well, the week started off with my car flinging up a nasty error. Big thanks to @halfords_uk for being very lovely when I turned up having been quoted my house deposit for repairs elsewhere and sorting my car out quickly.
So that meant the spa day with @simcoe16 was very much needed! Managed to squeeze in a dog walk with @lizziefandrews as well.
Then as you can see it descended into burly chaos, supporting @the.tempest.blaze at @hebdenburlyfest at the Legend in the Making show alongside @foxiegingerella @thewilliamdeep @mrsnooverall @sweet.bonnie.xo @profanitypinup @pandoracarnage @aya.lstorm @autumn_darling_burlesque and @poppypout
Then onto Scunthorpe to film @the_sugar_dolls_burlesque - @rob_zombabe, I’m almost disappointed there wasn’t a slap moment to add to my collection.
And finally to Rotherham for @tormenta.de.fuego’s show Dancing Through the Ages, where I got to give @remybrandee a big kiss
Is next week any quieter? No, stop asking me that, it never stops

Day 2 of yet another very busy burlesque weekend.
Fridays show was @the_sugar_dolls_burlesque and their show Paradise City!
These are the moments that can get missed if I’m solely focussed on filming the show - there’s all these lovely supportive moments between everyone. Perhaps it’s time I start bringing a second shooter along to capture more moments like this!
Congratulations @sugardoll_violet_dream - I can’t imagine how proud you are
