My name is Sarah Richart, and as I enter into these last couple hours of campaigning to become your next Student Body President, I'd like to just take a moment and reflect on every blessing I have received from what I do.

From my first pageant in Lakeside to now as the Miss Military Star Texas creator and inaugural queen, community has been everything to me. The safety and well-being of others has always been a priority, especially for those closest to me. To my friends and family, I want to thank you for the unwavering support through my Pandora & Persephone phases & schedules!

From day one of becoming a First Year Council Member, to partnering with the SGA, and to serving as a Student Senator for the College of Health & Human Sciences, it has been the mentors and leaders in my life who have shaped me into the leader I aim to be today. I want to share a personal thank you to Jackson Bentley, Faith Geistweidt and Madeline Clark, who have guided me to be a better leader & ensured I was able to be a part of the conversation when I didn't have the confidence to step forward.

And finally, from day one to tonight of campaigning, it has always been a priority to help the students. When I was overwhelmed & exhausted from the self-doubt and demand of class schedules, I turned to my team, who remind me every day that their belief in me & what we fight for is what keeps us going strong. The Red & Bold Movement has become a place of happiness for me, as these new friends became my teammates, and my teammates became close companions. To Preston, Isaac, Daniel, & the TPUSA at Tech members, thank you for showing me a family among friends.

Students, it is up to you who will represent you. The Red & Bold Movement is here & ready to support the ideas & values of Safety, Opportunity, Accessibility, & Sustainability, and I am incredibly blessed to say that these last few weeks have been nothing short of a blessing of their own. If you haven't yet voted, there's no better time than now!

🚨🚨 3 DAYS AWAY!! 🚨🚨

At Texas Tech, we believe students are more than just numbers. With the 3 VP's supporting the President and the Cabinet, and with all the senators representing the change we want to see on campus, and with our Supreme Court ensuring all is fair and legal within our system, our 3 branches of government hold the voice of the students!
