I’ve been up and down Seven Sisters Road I know it’s not my home but I’m invisible like I used to be unseen in my house ‘Hornsey Lane’ was written in reference to one its residents and author Deborah Levy, whom I had the luck of meeting twice, randomly, at the restaurant where I work. Inspired by one of her living autobiographies, last year the second lyric line of the track became reality: When “there’s a tree growing out of a sinkhole on Hornsey Lane” was originally just an observation captured on video years ago, this lyrical metaphor transposed into unintentional manifestation. I subsequently found myself inhabiting a little music studio on that same lane, not far from its forgotten sinkhole, doing what Levy might, hopefully, have mean by this life worth living. Hornsey Lane is out on Nov 6 🌳 Video production @daniel__padgett Graphics & butterfly logo @nicolobernasconi

‘<i c u>’ (2026) is a short film by @damsel.elysium @abi.asisa @daniel__padgett & @caledoniyah Exploring the perspective of a cello and its players, the gothic comedy interrogates the noir cinematic ‘male gaze’ by actively personifying the instrument and centring ourselves as black femmes to further reposition the instrument away from its historically hyper-sexualised context, and by honouring performance art pioneers, like Charlotte Moorman, whose revolutionary cello works took the instrument into unique, interdisciplinary contexts. throughout the film, we view this string instrument from new angles— prioritising the <cello gaze> and the object and the objectified reincarnate as living, breathing interfaces. Commissioned and Premiered at @bozarbrussels Concept by @damsel.elysium @abi.asisa @caledoniyah @daniel__padgett Starring @abi.asisa @damsel.elysium Score by @damsel.elysium @abi.asisa Filmed by @caledoniyah @damsel.elysium Edited by @damsel.elysium @daniel__padgett

Our final #ahcpgre2026 session begins with two speakers who seek to disrupt the prevailing systems ⛓️‍💥 • Ffion sets her focus on the portrayal of the undermined, sovereign, working-class, displaced and tortured body 🦺 • Daniel transforms cross-discipline collaboration in string instrument performance by positioning bow hair objects as co-performers & co-composers 🎻
